anyone have any ideas on how to create a TT equivalent of the PFRPG Witch utilizing the roles and Feats and skill purchases in PFO?

my teenage daughter would look to me as a hero if I took information you provide me here and I went to her with it as coming from her smart father/DM

thanks in advance!

There's only one arcane role implemented at the moment, so the best you can do for now is to pick and choose from the various Wizard options available to find whatever suits your theme the closest.

What is the thing about the TT witch that appeals to her?

I bet it is the big pointy hat and all the warts on her witch's nose! :-)

IMHO her best bet right now is to grab a staff and train level 1 in Killing Joke, Shadow blast, and any other dark spells that grab her imagination.

I would advise against wearing witch robes right now, unless she is always adventuring with a tank geared character, as soft characters take a lot of damage fast when they get hit.

This may well change in a week or so when T2 starts to become available.

Given the data of the Witch class;

I would start with the Wizard route, since it uses staves and wands and has near identical data to the witch in Pathfinder.
If she wants some of the healing ability the witch has, as from the Pathfinder witch, a dip in the cleric role will solve that and add to the lot of spells she can cast.

Since both are high power, and will save based they are very cheap together compared to say a wizard/fighter.

I second the idea of going wizard and grabbing a few cleric spells to get the healing and buffs that a witch would have. This is similar to what I am doing to try and approximate a Bard.

I imagine the enchantment stuff along with a little healing abilities

But knowing her probably more for the roleplay of it lol

Druid/wizard would probably nail the concept with the familiar/animal, but druids probably a ways away

I figure some of the other classes/roles not in game will probably be held for OE for a boost to help with the inevitable concerns over new players who think they'll be behind

So a few 'new' roles at that time can be advertised as everyone being on equal footing even though we know that you can catch up fast in this format, it'll still help in recruiting

But maybe some'll be in quicker? Hopefully Druid is one of the first

River Kingdoms with no Rangers and Druids seems missing something

I think are the next classes to be released are the Paladin, the Barbarian, and The Sorcerer.

I believe Druids and Rangers are next to the monk in that they will be the last core classes made.

As the animal companions will need there own AI, and certain other features may take a lot of time to make.

Ditto on the bard route.

Monk requires unique unarmed combat animations. Druid and ranger require writing an AI for pets. As Azure-Zero said, that puts these roles last on the list (unless there's a mighty powerful crowdforging effort).

My character is a witch archetype and I've decided to do a real pick'n'mix with skills.

Mainly Wizard, but also Rogue (for Stealth) and Fighter (just because I wanted to be able to handle a variety of weapons for flexibility). I will also be taking a major dip into Druid when it arrives. The major emphasis, however, is in Apothecary and Alchemist. Nothing says 'witch' to me like being able to create lotions and potions.
