Defensive Combat Training

Rules Questions

For the feat Defensive Combat Training it says "You treat your total Hit Dice as your base attack bonus when calculating your Combat Maneuver Defense"

My character is a brawler. When they say "hit dice," do they mean "hit points," the number 10 (for 1d10), or something else?

Thanks!

Hit Dice is the number of hit dice your character has, basically how many times have you rolled your hit dice.
In essence it means your character level (they say hit dice because the progression for monsters differs slightly than PC classes)

HD is the number of dice you roll. For normal characters it is usually the same thing as "Level".

Defensive Combat Training is of no use to Brawlers as their Base Attack is already equal to their HD (same for Fighters and Barbarians and Paladins, etc.)

In the case of a normal PC, it means your character level. Basically, you have a CMD equal to what it would be if all your class levels were full BAB levels. It's a useless feat for a brawler since they already get full BAB.

That makes sense. Thanks, all!
