need weapon+2 for +2 enchantment?

Rules Questions

If you have a +1 weapon and you want to add an enchantment that costs +2 bonus, does that weapon need to be upgraded to +2 before adding that level of enchant or can u put any amount of enchants once it's +1?

Once the weapon is +1, you can then proceed to stack as many non-enhancement bonus enchantments on it as you like (up to the maximum of +10 total for the weapon).

So you can have a +1 Vorpal Furious Courageous Greatsword, for example, which is a +8 weapon.

If you want to add a +2 equivalent enchantment to a weapon you need the weapon to be at least +1 and then you pay the difference between what it is and 2 higher. You do not have to make it +2 first, you can add any enchantment to a +1 weapon (but it must be +1 before you can enchant it). A +1 Holy (+2 equivalent) weapon (for instance) would cost 18,000 (9,000 to make) or only 16,000 (8,000 to make) if you already had a +1 weapon.

I can not find it right know, but think this is a no no. The most you can do is a +5 Enhancement w/ +5 Abilitys.

Like I said, I cannot find the ref. now & could be thinking of something in 3.5 but..

there is no limit on it other than enhancement cannot exceed +5 and total cost cannot exceed +10 (at least as far as i am aware)

I don't think it's even a 3.5 thing, but I know for a fact that you can absolutely have more than +5 in non-enhancement bonus enchantments on weapons. The only limit is specifically, as Bandw2 said, that you can't have more than a +5 enhancement bonus.
