Wow . . . where did this come from? Even seems to be a Paizo product from looking at it, but doesn't come up in the search for Paizo products. (Even looked at the beginning and end of the thread, but didn't see it. EDIT: Buried somewhere in the middle.)

I'll second that !!! Where did this come from OSW???

HOLY COW WHERE DID THAT COME FROM IT IS AWESOME?

Kobolds.

They may be in the ARG but with those crappy stats they are no real PC race.

A rather simple 'fix' could be to simply give kobold PCs a few extra points to spend on their ability score array. Going from a 15 to a 20 should more than offset the downsides of playing a kobold, making it a more attractive choice.

Meh I was a Kobold fighter

That is not an official Paizo product, and actually violates a number of the terms of the various licenses we provide to allow people to make fan-generated content using Paizo's trademarks, artwork, and other intellectual property.

As a bit of a lesson for the rest of us, are there violations outside the use of artwork? and the lack of inclusion of the OGL?

You can find the full terms of Paizo's Community Use Policy here.

The Pathfinder Compatibility License is detailed here.

You can find the Open Game License in any OGL product, or on the Wizards of the Coast website here.

I suspected as much, chief among its violations being that it presents itself as if it were official Paizo content rather than 3rd party fan content. The reactions of people here in this thread show exactly why that stipulation is so very, very important to follow when creating fan content. Sure, it can be very tempting to mimic Paizo's trade dress and make your fan content look 'official', but it's just going to get you into all sorts of legal trouble, so don't do it!

For me, the biggest trouble regarding Minotaurs tend to just be evil as a rule in Golarion. I mean, I'd hate to make the "Drizzt" of Minotaurs simply to justify playing one. Still though, I do like Dragon78's write up.

Paizo Glitterati Robot

Redacted link to document that violates the licenses/policies Mark brought up above.

Maybe not be the Drizzt of Minotaurs but instead be a Minotaur who simply thinks other Minotaurs are going about this the wrong way. A Minotaur who is intelligent and can function in society is more useful and can get more done in Baphomet's name like Baphomet's human cultists do. So a minotaur can be an adventurer and actually gets paid to attack and kill other humanoids.

That's actually not a bad idea, but it still limits things. I like to play a noble minotaur type, though that's just me. It's something that I have done in other games quite often, but general D20 type games make minotaurs tough to play. I think 4th edition was the first to allow it in a relatively easy fashion. Ironically, Kaz the Minotaur is kind of my inspiration for such characters. I imagine that I can somehow make it work though. I mean, I have to find a game in which to play said minotaur first, anyway.

Problem is, Minotaurs tend to be awfully bullheaded . . . .

You might want to try and find the 3.5 Dragonlance core book - it has a minotaur PC race with no LA in it. Dragonlance minotaurs tend to be sailors so I think they get some nautical stuff built in but since Kaz is your inspiration you might want to give it a look.

Cool, thanks!

The Midgard campaign setting also has PC friendly minotaur stats for Pathfinder.

I will admit I am the first person who wants to play something unusual only because I would then look unusual. But in my defense it's not that I think I couldn't play a good character as a human-alike but I just have a visceral dislike of thinking of myself as looking human.

Hm, I should probably add to the "could easily be PC race" list so I'm still on-topic.

Unfortunately the best I can do is "low-level demon". Because demons pouring out of the Worldwound being just a massive cloud of enemies just seems boring to me.

Well, you can always play a tiefling, but even the least powerful of demons (quasits and dretches) are far more powerful than any PC race. That said... there's plenty of demons who would be plenty fun to play in a higher level campaign that allowed the CR = level rule. (ie, you could play a level 2 Succubus Rogue as a 9th level character)

My concept is that you play a demon who's low enough to qualify for 1st-level play. Probably by using Tiefling stats, since they have a whole bunch of variants and alternate features. It's just the concept of being an actual demon rather than a half-breed.
