Bloodrager Eldritch Heritage

Homebrew and House Rules

If I gain the Eldritch heritage feat, could I ever gain a Bloodrager bloodline? If not, is it particularly unbalanced?

I know that the Society and basic rules would not allow it but I wanted to make a fey-blooded Ranger character from Sevenarches and did not want to dip into sorcerer or bloodrager. I know that there bloodline powers are meant to only be used during a bloodrage but is there any way to make a house rule that could give me access without breaking balance?

Raging blood, from the ACG (p155). It has sorcerer bloodline OR Eldritch Heritage as a prerequisite.

Well, for any houserule the ultimate answer is "ask your GM".

The major problem that you can run into here is that many of the Bloodrager's powers are inherently better than the Sorcerer's by virtue of only being usable in a rage. For example, a Draconic Bloodrager gets wings three levels earlier, and the level after the Draconic Sorcerer gets wings, he's flying 33% faster and with better maneuverability.

Because of that, the easiest way to make a houserule is to find a way to put a per-day limit on some of these abilities. For example, the Fey bloodline's Quickling Bloodrage automatically grants Haste while raging. One could replace that with, say, ten rounds of Haste per day (in line with Boots of Speed). A similar limit could be put on Confusing Critical and Fury of the Fey (I would go with 3+Cha/day for those, and maybe even that limit for Quickling). Personally, I'd be fine with Leaping Charger and Blurring Movement being permanent abilities, and One With Nature is permanent already.

Of course, if just getting the first-level power is enough then yeah, Raging Blood works just fine. It's a roundabout way to get it and costs three feats, but you get two abilities out of it (and if you snag Improved Eldritch Heritage, the 9th level Sorcerer Fey power is pretty awesome).

Is there a higher version of Raging Blood like there is Eldritch Heritage?

This is the wrong forum, since you already know its not allowed. But as for balanced, no, there really isn't a way to do what you want that is balanced. For reference, the design team seems to equate a bloodrage power with two rage powers, which are each worth two feats. And that is with the rage only restriction. There are some incredibly powerful low-level bloodrage powers (Fated Bloodrager, if you look at equivalents, is worth about 2.5 feats for every four levels your character has.).

As mentioned, raging blood is the best you can really expect.

If you're a ranger, you could take the Wild Stalker archetype and the Lesser Fey Blood/Fey Blood/Greater Fey Blood rage powers.

It's been moved apparently... which is cool, or else otherwise how is it it in the wrong forum?
