Ladies and Gentlemen,
Come join The Empyrean Order in Brighthaven, Thursday December 3rd, 2014 at 8PM EST/5PM PST/1AM GMT for a major event! This event will start with a showcase of all Tier 1 armors +0 versus +3 versions, then a showcase of some Tier 2 armor and weapons. Following this we will take group pictures of everyone, and then enjoy a HUGE mock battle splitting into two teams; defenders of Brighthaven, and the attackers. Afterwards we will try our T2 armor versus 100% escalations, and all are welcome to join!
If you need armor for the pictures, mock battle, or anything after we should have some extra stuff (At least basic) to hand out.
Anyone is welcome to come!
Hopefully we can fully test the servers with this event, and maybe 100 total people will show up, and we can test the Hex stability.
Edit: If you don't want to participate in the battle, we will have safe zone sections where you can watch the entire event from! Feel free to come in and RP too!

I am feeling mischievous. I think I would like to be on the attackers side :) (After I get my T2+X armor from BH's Armorsmiths, of course!)
Although it would be very interesting to be on the same side as Nihimon in PvP for once, instead of killing him repeatedly.
Oddly enough, I was thinking about being with the Attackers, too. Killing Cheatle never gets old :)

Of course, if no one shows up to fight for Cheatle, I will change sides. I was always a sucker for the underdog, anyways.

I'm sure several Keepers will join in (cross-posting to our forums for promotion). I plan to be there, but my daughter has surgery on Wednesday so my plans may get altered depending on how that goes.
If anybody has some spare fancy-pants looking clothes, I'd prefer that to wizard robes in keeping with my aristocrat/bard aspirations. Oh, and psychic wands/staffs would be fabulous...

Kaziil gave me some Petitioners Robes +3 she made but unfortunately they just look like Wizzies Robes with some very minor alterations. They have odd keywords so I presume they are for a class that does not exist yet and the artwork has not been done.

That makes sense.
If I remember correctly, +3 petitioners sort of worked like a +1 or maybe +2 wizard Robe with wizzie armor feats slotted. Similar to the Paladin Heavy Armor (Segmented Lorica +3 ?) that I made a while back with Crusader slotted.
i think Kaziil was actually hoping a +3 Petitioners would look funky when she made it, but unfortunately not.

Ermmmm, one possible monkeywrench to at least part of your plans: we zeroed out the escalation cycles on the server reset this morning so we could see them spread with the new math. If any of them get back up to 100% by tonight, we'll have known something has gone horribly, horribly wrong, but most likely you won't have high end escalation cycles to beat on. Sorry!

On the up shot, traveling from Tavernhold to BH just got a hell of a lot easier. Bye-bye pesky shamans.
Actually something went wrong with the reset and it did not take. We're looking into it.
You know one way you could reset the counters is by joining us tonight ;)
I made it into the hex just fine with myself and my alt. But after desyncing, neither of my characters will log in.
i succesfully managed to get in with sspitfire and IMMEDIATELY ran out of the hex. I was totally desynced from the game, still though.
Relogging now that I am in a clean hex.... and I am back in!
The good news is I am getting in. The bad news is I am getting in but being completely desynced.
I'll try changing hexes, relogging and then coming back
LOL my desynced Roles list is hilarious. Lover 5, Hater 20, haxx0r 1, Script Kiddie 42, Lorem 1, Ipsum 1, Wizards! 8
And I have 9,999,999 exp! WOOO HO! too bad it will be gone when logged in properly
And 9000 hit points. Not bad.
NO one is on when I log....
So two of the things I noticed with all the desyncs are a) the real issue seems to be having so many players within my viewing area/on my mini map and b) if i desync in combat, the server still has me as "in the game" for the purposes of other people killing me.

Main hitch with the whole event:
Not being able to heal friends, or even yourself, when you/they/we/us were/are/am flagged as aggressor... :(
Other than that (and Dazyk forgetting to only attack Red names and now having a -7500 rep...) I had a great time!
I even killed the Cheatle-miester a few times :) Nihimon was right, it never gets old :D

Haha, it was a pretty good match up.
The fashion show will be uploaded tonight onto youtube, and posted here in the morning!
The issues I saw were when we had 15-20 in Brighthaven, we started having all kinds of issues, same amount of people at the tower, no issues at all. I was glad to see us getting close to 30+ people at the beginning of the PvP matchup.
Some of the bigger issues had to do with targeting, and not being able to heal right. There were other issues with Expendables constantly being interrupted.
I had a lot of fun though, and I think most everyone else felt that way too. Thank you for everyone that showed up tonight!

Once the fight died down to about 14 or 15 people, I had no trouble staying in. But at the start, with so many people around, it was desync city for me. I wonder how much of that had to do with my internet being slow and possibly not able to keep up with all the info had to send me?
Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed defending the tower. My T1+3 longbow was very effective at shredding T1 and T2 armor. Thanks for hosting this, Cheatle and the Empyrean Order!
