Ok, this was amazing. Completely amazing. It's been 6 hours after I watched the film and I am still blown away.

Spoiler:

I must congratulate on Kevin Feige on the massive amounts of testicles it took to make this creative decision and actually have the bad guy win.
I also mus congratulate the Russeau brothers on the amazing job they did.

Like the guy said. Do. Not. Get. The. Large. Soda.

Hopefully, DC is taking notes. Hopefully, cause this movie is everything none of theirs were.

Ok, I saw it, and totally not happy with the way the Russo brothers threw away ten years of movie canon..

I especially hate the way Starlord Weaponized hyperspace to destroy Thano's ship..

Um..hold that thought,,crossed wires..

It was a great movie. As someone old enough to have brought the Infinity guantlet issues when they first came out, its always been my favorite marvel Story (followed by secret wars and then Days of Future past).

They told it as well as anyone could have. I loved the fight scenes, especially all the ones with Thor in it. The onlydowner is knowing the story, I knew how this movie will end. Do I know how part 2 will finish, not really, so if anything the ending made me really want to see the next part.

Good job Russo Brothers!

Is Hawkeye even in the movie?

Watch it and see.

Nope

He is mentioned though...twice

Well...they have mentioned that Hawkeye is going to have a pretty dark arc in the next Avengers, and I guess we can all figure out why now...

Also, just got back, and

Holy Expletive

there was stunned silence at the end of this movie, and I too had some folks crying at the end of this. This is by far a worthy climax for the MCU, although the wait over the next year is going to really really suck....

wow... Well worth full price for the tickets. I will be seeing it again.

it was ok... bit long for my taste but loved Thanos!

As long as Thanos proves to be Thanos, that's really all that matters.

Saw it yesterday, loved it. When it ended and the credits started to roll, that guy next to me was like "really? Thats' how it ends?" But most people were silent.

This was a great one. I'm glad the creative team had the guts to end the movie how they did. It added more emotional bite to our story overall. We've seen these movies before; rarely do heroes die unless in a truly heroic manner. This time, we lost more....

I realized at about the two hour mark the ending was going to be abrupt. At the point Thanos arrives,I knew what sort of abrupt.

Just saw the movie. I'm a big Marvel MCU fan and I was REALLY excited to see it

I have to say ... I didn't love it. I certainly liked it, but that's about it. It was a pretty good movie in my opinion, but it just wasn't a great movie. There were moments that were pretty great, but there were also plenty of so-so moments.

And, that big "oh WOW" moment at the end? As many others have said, since we know what sequel movies are coming in the near future, that moment felt pretty empty and forced. It didn't have the impact it should have because we already know it will be undone so some extent.

I don't know, I'm actually a little bummed to be honest, because I wanted (heck, fully EXPECTED) to absolutely love the movie ... instead I left the theater feeling more ... blah. Now, reflecting on it, I think the movie was pretty good, I guess, but I doubt I'll see it again in the theater, and that's definitely not they way I expected to feel right now. In fact, I'm actually a bit less excited about Avengers 4 now than I was prior to seeing the movie ...

Hit the bathroom right now. Your bladder will thank you later.

Sovereign Court

Awww thanks

Talk among some viewers have gone on about how full of it Thanos is since he didn't choose to be in the part that didn't make the cut. He is the hard man who makes hard choices and goes to sleep all happy while others suffer.

Uhm that sounds like Thanos to me Phillip...

Damn, that was pretty awesome.

I will say this. That whole Dwarf Forge around a neutron star.....

That right there, shows me how a Starfinder campaign needs to look.
Pretty much all the Thor parts is how a Starfinder campaign should look.

Got a theory

Spoiler:

Thor: Ragnarok - Hella tosses Odin's "fake" gauntlet.
At the time we assumed that meant Thanos had the original however now we learn he needed the Dwarves to make one for him.

End of the film, after the <Snap> his Gauntlet (and arm) look fried, unable to handle the full power of the stones.

Theory: Thanos has an imitation Gauntlet, not the original. Original is still out there somewhere and might be the key to taking the Stones from him

Could be. I think

Spoiler:

That they're gonna have to go to Itri again to forge them a new gauntlet so that they can undo what Thanos did. And that Stark will sacrifice himself to put the universe back as it was.

The only "primary" characters currently in play that we know for certain will survive are Black Panther (because $$), Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, Spidey and the GotG (most of them at least) due to the pesky release schedule post-Infinity War.

I'd bank on at least Cap and Tony Stark getting planted, perhaps even Loki, Banner/the Hulk, Hawkeye and/or Black Widow as well, pretty close to fulfilling Stark's "worst-case scenario vision" via the Scarlet Witch in Age of Ultron.

Nick Fury and a slew of secondary characters could push up daisies from across the preceding trilogies as 'collateral damage'.

Depends on how much they wanted to rack up Thanos' body count...

I think they may be setting up Thor to fully assume Odin's mantle as King of Asgard-on-Earth in Norway. All he is missing is a bit more wisdom, the two ravens, the bad-a$$ horse and a new weapon. Perhaps post-Infinity War the role of mentor/sponsor is divided between Black Panther and Thor?

This deserves quoting for future reference...
Oh man, that quote is just deliciously wrong in all the right ways!

Tasty. ;)

Yeah...we know that somethings are going to get fixed in Avengers 4, but honestly I have zero idea on how they are going to do that. THat is in contrast to Infinity War, which many of the several beats could have been sort of predicted based on prior movies.

Just saw it, woot!

And in non-spoiler-y thoughts, the CGI for Rocket's fur was really good. There was a scene where he was across from Thor, and his fur looked more 'real' than Chris Hemsworth's actual beard. :)

The was one shot of Ruffalo with the rest of the cast at the very end where the visible part of the actor was not quite centered on the body.

Otherwise the FX were great.

I wonder who will stick around revived or not. I believe several actors don't want to be stuck in life time roles. Heck, maybe RDJ wants to try stand up sometime.
