Question Regarding PFS Cleric - Channel Positive Energy

Advice

My son has a Cleric that just reached level 6 and one of the domains he took was the Healing domain. As I was reading the domain abilities I ran across this:

"At 6th level, all of your cure spells
are treated as if they were empowered, increasing the
amount of damage healed by half (+50%)."

Does this include healing done by channeling? Or is it only applied to the actual "Cure" based healing spells.

It only applies to cure spells. Channel Energy is not a "spell" is it a "supernatural ability"

EDIT: Now, he could use the ability to do 50% extra damage to undead by casting a cure spell as a melee touch attack.

No, the domain empowering only works for healing with cures, not damaging undead. (it would be nice though)

Downlobot, it doesn't say "when healing" it says all cure spells.

And only spells with "Cure" in the title apply, not any other spell that might happen to recover HP.

Sorry, i was going off the http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/cleric/domains/paizo---domains /healing-domain description. I haven't checked the real prd in awhile. My bad!

Edit: http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/classes/cleric.html#cleric the real prd has the restriction too

Edit 2: sorry about my links

Well, looks like it is only healing.
