Does an arcane lock keep the door shut both ways?

Rules Questions

It's a no brainer to say an arcane lock on your front door keeps people out of your house. But if they enter through a window, can they open it up to leave?

And can it be an either/or if the wizard wishes?

Arcane lock means exactly what it says. The enclosure is locked shut for anyone but the wizard.

As to the window while arcane lock may keep it closed, breaking the window is still an option, if you're talking about glass as opposed to a wood shutter.

A door or object secured with this spell can be opened only by breaking in or with a successful dispel magic or knock spell. Add 10 to the normal DC to break open a door or portal affected by this spell.

Note that the spell does increase the DC to break by 10.
