Multiple caster levels and crafting magic items question

Rules Questions

So a thought occurred to me, how does crafting items work for a caster with multiple caster levels?

Let's say a caster with wizard 3/cleric 3 with Magical Knack that boosts wizard up to 5. Since he has caster level 5 he can take Craft Wand for wizard spells without trouble. Can he also craft wands for cleric spells too or does he need a caster level of cleric 5?

I'm not entirely sure about the RAW. Your mentioned char is living up to the prerequisites of the feat and should have access to it.

Personally speaking I'd allow it.

If you have the feat, you can craft the wands. For instance, if you took a completely new class next level that gave you 1st-level spells, you'd be able to craft a wand with those spells, though only as a 1st-level caster, barring an ability that raises it. Whereas a 1st-level wizard spell in a wand could be up to CL 5 if you wish and a cleric spell in a wand could be up to 3rd.
