Okay, can we now make a proper Jedi. :)

While Paizo can't "officially" confirm this, but does the Psychic work as a Jedi type class?

I think that at half BAB this would be difficult.

However the Technology Guide has a laser torch that functions as a one-handed melee weapon so at least you got your lightsaber.

Jedi feel more like a psionic than psychic class.

I figured. There really needs to be a "Psychic Warrior" class - kind of like the Magus is a Fighter & Wizard hybrid.

The Occultist is kind of like that, but is too dependent of foci. The Kinetisist's powers are too limited.

The laser torch is not a lightsaber. It's a welder.

As far as classes, I think a kineticist works well as a Jedi Knight, Mesmerist works as a Jedi Sentinel, and a Psychic works as a Jedi Consular.

It might as well be. Does everything a light saber does except for deflect lasers. Just file off the serial number and bam you got a light saber.

A light saber has a 3ft beam. A Laser Torch has a 6 inch beam. It's not a lightsaber.

That's not filing off the serial number. Mechanically it's a one-handed melee weapon. I don't care if the blade if the blade is 2 inches or 5 feet if you can erase the '2in' and replace it with '3ft' and nothing happens to how it works then it 'might as well' be a lightsaber.

There is also the fact that the laser torch goes through force fields like they aren't there, but as shown by both the Droideka fight and Darth Maul Naboo fight in episode I, lightsabers are deflected by force fields.

Play a spiritualist named Anakin and his phantom, Menace.

OK, that one's worth at LEAST a Dark Side Point...

Remotely closer to the topic, I think a Jedi would be more likely to arise from either the Aether Kineticist or the Occultist I think, probably built with the Arcane Knight PrC in mind... Jedi abilities seem more Wu Xia inspired rather than Psionic in nature.

Jedi aren't a Medium, Occultist, Spiritualist, or Psychic. They don't summon spirits, use psychometry, create their own Poltergeists, and the Psychic is more Professor X than anything - not a Jedi.

They're primarily Kineticist - d10 HD + full BAB and telekinetic abilities - with:

1) some levels in Mesmerist
2) a Kineticist/Mesmerist Gestlat
3) a Kineticist/Mesmerist Prestige Class
4) an Archetype of the Kineticist which gives them some of the Mesmerist's mind-affecting supernatural abilities, especially Bold Stare

Honestly, my money's on option 4

Jedi and Sith aren't Force Wizard/Witches - that's an entirely different type of Force User that the Psychic is more like.

The closest Jedi build that comes up is one I sorta am playing with the idea in..

Aether Kin for a few levels; with the TK movement stuff at least, then mesmer from then on. Probably still using K-blade when it comes to blade weapons.. Kinda leaning towards 1-3 to 6 in aetherist (potentially 7 for the extra element likely in water for defense or air for lightening). Would suck up a lot of feats getting "extra wild talent" though.

DC's would suck for the mesmerist stuff, if you take more than 1-2 K.

which i just realized is pretty much what the above said haha.

Just use the jedi classes from d20 revised, they're not all that overpowered when compared to standard PF classes.
