So if you have a player who is playing a large race and starts at level 1 Summoner, Synthesist Archtype can he fuse with his eidolon? And what if someone/yourself casts Enlarge Person on you. The Rule(The eidolon must be at least the same size as the synthesist.)
Here are the options/questions i can think of.
1) Does the eidolon automatically start the same size as the race?
2) Does he wait till level 2 to have 4 points in the Evolution Pool and ignore the level 8 requirement?
3) Does he wait till level 8 for the Large Evolution requirement?
Scenario Question- A player is a werebear synthesist, when he is in hybrid form he increases in size. (This greatly differs from the spell Enlarge Person as you could say the eidolon magically increases, but again the key is COULD SAY.) What are the mechanical rules for the eidolon to fuse with the synthesist?

My player is a level 4 half elf Synthesist, he drew from the deck of Harrow and got the cards for, increased in size and became a Werebear.
First. Dont use things that screw the game over like the deck on Many fails.
Second. Let your player enjoy being big and furry and using his summon monster SLA until level 8.Eridan |
On my table i would ignore this part of the rules
The eidolon must be at least the same size as the synthesist.
The only ability that causes trouble is the natural reach of the large summoner. All other rules like STR, DEX, CON, HP, natural attack, attack limits etc. can be used. There is no problem.
So basically a large summoner looses his natural reach until the eidolon grows large or it has the reach evolution.
