Does anyone have any recommendations for scenarios or PFS-sanctioned modules that are particularly fitting to the sort of adventures the playtest characters should experience? Off the top of my head, I could start the list with:

Black Waters
Encounter at the Drowning Stones
Haunting of Hinojai
The Cultists' Kiss
Day of the Demon
Carrion Hill

My criteria are: hidden things revealed, more than once, and a macabre atmosphere.

Voice in the Void is the one that jumped out at me from the thread title (at least the 3-4 and 6-7 subtier with the new creature is kind of otherworldly and wierd.

From your post, Feast of Ravenmoor should be right up that alley, along with Carrion Crown's book 4.

From Shore to Sea would be an awesome Occult Adventure; it's rooted in lots of Lovecraftian themes and mythos, plus has a solid investigation component that focuses on the history behind the adventure site.

Temple of Emphyreal Enightenment

Black Waters is such a mindtwist. Its own my favorite scenarios. The GM can get into the heads of the players with all of the imagery to cause them to do the deed at the end......WHAHAH....
