Please join me in congratulating William “Xath” Jones, Venture-Captain of the Detroit Lodge, in earning his 5th Star! A veteran of ‘the world’s oldest fantasy role-playing game’, Xath discovered Pathfinder Society a mere two years ago. Like many of us, he caught a fever and the only prescription was “moar Pathfindr!”. He served a brief stint as a Venture-Lieutenant before the opportunity arose last year for the VC position. He has reinvigorated the Detroit Metro area and made bringing together Pathfinders from across the state his priority. Xath is a great GM, able to make adjustments on the fly and never misses a beat at the table. He’s passionate about this game we play and never shy about sharing his position on hot-button issues in the campaign. He earned his 10th Special this past weekend at TavernCon in Ithaca, MI running Blood Under Absalom. Congratulations Xath, and welcome to The Island!

Congratulations, Xath! You've been a veritable juggernaut in the Detroit area since you came on the scene -- GMing and organizing and just generally leading the Detroit area PFS group to expand and expand some more. It's always a pleasure to game with you, no matter which side of the GM screen either of us is on.

Thanks to everyone for the shout outs! I really love the GMing and organizing side of PFS. I relish nearly every opportunity to GM because you never know what memories you will have a chance of taking part in making. This may only be a game, but what we do with it is real, as well as who we do it with. This makes real and lasting memories and friends.
When I started in PFS back in 2012, I had never done anything in a society style play before. I was a dungeon dweller who used to sneak around and play my beloved hobby, hoping not to many would notice. Then, through some amazing friends, I found our local PFS society here in Michigan, and what did I find? Like-minded people who proudly played my hobby, regardless of public opinion. In the open. In game stores... In bars... Socially accepted.
HUNDREDS of people... together... community...
Well, I have never looked back. Thank you one and all for entrusting my the privilege of spinning stories for your enjoyment. I look forward to making more memories...
