Trying to reach PFS leadership for Chicago, IL

Pathfinder Society

I'm participating in the Card Game Guild for Montreal (Canada), and I'll be traveling through Chicago the first week of November.

I'd like to play in the weekly scenario while I'm there, and I've been trying to reach the 4 PFS leaders by email and private mail for the past 2 weeks to find any Organized Play group, but no one has responded yet, which leads me to believe they are not involved anymore.

If anyone knows who is currently handling the PFS for Chicago, I'd appreciate if you could point me in the right direction.

4/5

Are you looking for Pathfinder Society (the RPG) or the Pathfinder Society Adventure Card Guild?

As I understand it, they are effectively the same at the moment, since this is the inaugural "Season 0" for the Card Guild.

I've posted 2 messages on the Card Guild message board; one remained unanswered, and in the other I was directed to contact the PFS leaders for Chicago.

While that may be the official party line from Paizo, I'm not sure how that actually works in practice. There's a ton of PFS play in Chicago for the roleplaying game, but I don't know of anything for the card game, and I'm not sure how much (if anything) our PFS leaders even know about it.

He said he already emailed 4 people, so I'm assuming that's who he's talking about. I'm surprised nobody responded, as our PFS community is very active around here, though I don't know of any activity for the card game.

For info on playing Pathfinder Society with the roleplaying game in Chicago, check out my response to this thread back in August. The Monday night group always has a low level table that's newbie friendly, so we'd be happy to have you.

The Card Guild scenarios are only accessible to PFS leaders and to retail stores who are registered with Paizo. I assume these are the same stores who host regular PFS RPG events, so the PFS leaders should at least be aware of any Card Guild group in Chicago.

If there aren't any OP group, my plan was to ask the leaders to send me that week's scenario, and to recommend a store with an available Skull & Shackles base set. I could then complete the scenario on my own.

I was also planning on offering to teach the Adventure Card Game to anyone interested in learning about it. Regular PFS players would seem the prime audience for this, but I would also need access to the base set and the special Card Guild intro scenario to do this. Which, once again, means going through the PFS leaders.
