Name is Sassaroth, you can call me Sass. (just some name I made up so the nickname would be cool..... and at time appropriate.)
I am new to the forum, but I am old to the game. I have been a fan of pathfinder since its infancy. I find it to be the superior gaming platform for my style. I have been playing table top gaming for a very long time, roughly 20 years. I have never got tired of it.
I am also a old salt of MMO gaming. So when I heard wind of PFO... I got goose bumps. I love that this is happening. My apologies for not getting to the kickstarter, OH I wish there was still a way to donate, because I would!

Anyways, no I am not in alpha, but I can always dream. It is my desire to be part of the gaming process, even if I am unable to see it first hand. I have no doubt one day that will change.
Never the less! I will strive to be supportive in anyway that I can. If you find ways I can contribute I am more than happy to help. Just ask! I am not interested in playing early in the game just to play. I like to think the current testers are a good group of like minded people that help report, critique and develop the game as it is needed. I want this game to be great, and I want to be a small part that will help it be great.
I am currently in college for Media design with the emphasis for game development. I am pretty mean at Hammer level design LOL!. I am a single father of four wonderful children, war veteran, and all around nerd. I enjoy puns..... lots and lots of puns. I have more word play than a thesaurus.Thats enough about me. Glad to see you all.

As to "buying in", that can definately still be done here.

I do not feel comfortable asking for keys. I find I would rather earn the honor.
Yet, you mentioned buying in, I do not consider it buying in to play, but donating to a good game idea. Honestly I would donate even if there was no reward. I truly like pathfinder. I will have to look at the shop when I get home. The school network is being a poo.
I really want to play and help develop my skills at looking for bugs, and technical game aspects. Might even get me some extra credit at school. I wonder, what type of clipping, are there solid objects, vectors, meshes, type of sprites. How is it rendered, do we use occulars, or distance, both? lights types for world, ambient and effects. world and ambient audio. Environmental hazard boxes and types.
Can't say I am super experienced, but I do have a good working knowledge so far. I created a few maps before, so this is all super interesting to me.
Anyways, I will defiantly swing by and get to know you all.

There are lots of alpha keys, and any involvement in alpha is a good thing. Feel free to pm me and I can connect you with an alpha access if you like.

you have a point. after typing being able to earn it, I thought. How would I do that out of game. Not easily, but still doable. I have had a few private offers I think I will take one up.
I am still going to shop at the store though. Making sure anything I buy at the store will not goof up an alpha key.
Been looking at land rush.
I find similarities to Conan Online MMO. I was in its beta stage as well. We found a bug that would let us raid and destroy guild halls within the first few hours of being able to build guild halls. we did some testing and found it repeatable.
...They changed that very quickly. Bug neutralized.

Since we're currently in the Alpha Stress Test, I believe all you have to do is purchase an EE (or even OE) account from the store. Once you do that you should get access to the stress test, since everyone with any account type currently has access.
Right. I forgot that. Once you buy your enrollment package you'll be in anyway, regardless of whether you have an invite. At this point, the invite just lets you try it before you buy access
ah. I see well. I think I will buy it anyways. If I do get a spare key. I know of few people that might want to try it. I am part of a huge gaming community and a few MMO nerd on there like me would use it.

thanks, installing now. Still can not see any of the alpha forums at GW. I might need a key for that. But I am hoping that fixes itself. Guess I will see soon.
