Shadow Lodge

My party will soon be raiding a goblin village so I want to present them with the following encounter (Warning: Contains mild adult themes):

Description:

Grelixa Goblin Brood Mother: Grelixa is the tribes primary breeder and spiritual leader. She is a short fat repugnant female who is almost always naked, her filthy sagging mammaries frequently lactating due in part to her almost constant state of pregnancy. Grelixa rules the tribe and is the primary caretaker of its children, thus she can frequently be seen surrounded by a large number of her offspring as they scrabble for her attention.

Shadow Lodge

I was just looking through the encounter design stuff, and I think I have this figured out as 2 CR 2's or a CR 4 encounter. This will be for a party of 2 2nd level and one 1st level characters so I think I'm on point with my difficulty, I want the encounter to be extremely challenging.

One level 2 player is a rogue/arcanist building toward a 3.5 Daggerspell mage, the other is a modified Lizardfolk Bloodrager. and my Level 1 is a wild card, i won't find out till game night what he's bringing but he will be introduced during the raid as another prisoner of the goblins.

If anyone can find fault in my CR, I'd appreciate it, its been along time since I designed something like a swarm that i couldn't just pull from the page in the bestiary.

Yeah CR 2 + 2 (=4) each sounds about right.
The goblin mother actually looks a bit more like CR 1 from looking at her character sheet but if you combine them into one encounter it becomes a real headache, especially if someone gets latched onto by the swarm and the mother casts obscuring mist, that right there would be a pretty unstoppable character kill.
(Caught character fails distraction save, becomes nauseated, obscuring mist removes vision = half movement speed, caught character only gets one action to flee, a max movement speed of 15 ft, no way to escape the swarm!).

This can easily kill/demoralize the party, good luck to them!

On top of that she can protect herself with sanctuary and channel positive energy to heal the swarm while excluding one of the PC's with her Selective channeling feat.

That sounds like a irritating fight. Will there be any other goblins about?

Shadow Lodge

Only patrols encountered on the way to the village, and a fight later involving a bugbear if they survive.

Shadow Lodge

She has the versatile channeler feat.

Only neutral clerics have access to that if I remember correctly.

Or clerics with a neutral patron, hers is a chaotic neutral mythic elven female who is the mother of all goblinoids in this campaign setting (the father being a demon who abducted her and drove her mad millennia ago. Centuries of incestuous rape will do that to an elf).

That explains it then :)
