Imp vs. Quasit vs. Cacodaemon

Advice

So, I am at level six at last, and I want a hellish companion. However I can't for the life of me decide whether I want a demon, devil, or daemon(I.e. Quasit, imp, cacodaemon) Any advice? Which ones better? They all seem to have pros and cons but I just can't decide.

Liberty's Edge

I prefer the imp but that's personal preference, I generally prefer the lawful evil to chaotic or neutral. If though you end up not being able to decide try being NE take the cacaodaemon and one level of diabolist. Now you have an imp companion and a daemon familiar.

Cacodaemon is wonderful for a dedicated crafter. Soul gems are OP.

If you don't care about the fluff or soul gems then the imp is definitely the mechanically stronger choice by miles.

Grand Lodge

Imp is strongest mechanically
In home games I reskin Imp into new creatures because mechanically it is one of the best familiar.

Imp.

Well, imp seems to be the preference. But I have little knowledge of the use of souls gems, outside of dealing with evil outsiders. Anyone know any other uses they have?

They can replace expensive Material Components and be used craft Magic and Intelligent items.
