This weekend I switched to using my PS4 controller and Pinnacle to play PFO. I'm enjoying my big screen tv and plopping on the couch with my wireless keyboard w/touchpad for 'backup'. The gameplay is very responsive and smooth. I find I play longer and have more enjoyment in a more lounged state, and the UI isn't so complex that I need to responsively activate more options than what I can with the buttons on my controller. There's also a tactile weight of a gamepad that makes the control of my character feel like it has more physical substance.
I created a Pinnacle profile if anyone is interested. I could have used xpadder but I also play Neverwinter and have seen problems with it.

Does anyone else use a controller?

I feel that I would enjoy using a controller and am interested to know how you set that up. Please be as detailed as possible as I am a laymen of computer stuff.
What type of gamepad do you have? I plug in a Playstation 4 controller using a USB cable so if you have something different you may need to play around with the profile configuration a bit. You'll have to use a third party program like Pinnacle or xpadder. If you downloaded Pinnacle I put a link in the first post to a profile I uploaded (PFO.PIN) that has my button layout.
Depending on what controller you use you may have to setup the buttons yourself. Essentially one analog stick is used for movement, the other for the camera and the buttons are mapped for tab, jump, the right and left mouse clicks and the 1-6 keys. Right clicking either controls the mouselook or brings up the mouse icon which is how I do everything else (inventory, map, powers, quests, etc) but depending on your controller and preferences you could map some of those too.

Can you post a screen shot of your Controller Configuration page? Also did you change any of your keybindings?
The keybindings are all default. I just updated the Pinnacle page with a screenshot of the layout. I also made some changes and modified the PIN file so be sure to download the latest copy if you're interested.

Can I just copy your pin for a PS 4 on top of a xbox 360 controller? Real noob about this here? If not I think I can just use your pic to map a trial run at it.
I tried it with a third party xbox 360 controller and it worked the same; even the sample layout picture Pinnacle uses is the xbox 360 controller.
