Feinting vs. Rouge

Rules Questions

Question:
If I were to use the Feint combat option against a Rouge with Improved Uncanny Dodge, would I still be able to sneak attack said Rouge? The wording of Feint does exactly what the Flatfooted condition stipulates, but it doesn't state it as "being Flatfooted."

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It's spelled "rogue."

A rogue with uncanny dodge can still lose her Dexterity bonus to AC if an opponent successfully uses a feint action against her. (Core Rulebook 69) Improved uncanny dodge makes no difference, except that the rogue cannot be flanked.
You do bring up an important point, which is that there is a definite difference between being flat-footed and losing your Dex bonus to AC. Unless something explicitly uses the words "flat-footed," assume that it doesn't make a character flat-footed.

Thelemic was wrong. The four level thing only applies to flanking.

Shadow Lodge

Well, you do, but unless it is a Cosmetics Golem of some sort, a Rouge will probably have a Dexterity score of zero, and be immune to sneak attack, as its an object. :p
