Using Planar Binding to kill summoned creatures

Rules Questions

Is there any rule against casting Planar Binding for the sole purpose of killing (and maybe reanimating) the summoned creature?

Which outsiders are suitable for reanimation?

Otherwise, no there is no rule against it. I wouldn't award any xp, though unless you were genuinely risking getting killed in the process. And you might find yourself in trouble if you kill too many things of any particular grouping, such as archons or devils etc.

Most of them.

Unlike most living creatures, an outsider does not have a dual nature—its soul and body form one unit. When an outsider is slain, no soul is set loose. Spells that restore souls to their bodies, such as raise dead, reincarnate, and resurrection, don't work on an outsider. It takes a different magical effect, such as limited wish, wish, miracle, or true resurrection to restore it to life. An outsider with the native subtype can be raised, reincarnated, or resurrected just as other living creatures can be.

The can't be raised, reincarnated or ressurected.

Animate Dead only needs a corpse to work. And bloody skeleton nightmares are excellent mounts.

Summoned creatures disappear upon death though - there'll be nothing left to re-animate.

PB's a calling not a summoning so they don't vanish when killed.
