Advice

I'll hopefully get enough XP to be a level 9 Archer Archetype Human Fighter, and I am trying to situate myself as best I can for the death gauntlet to come. I figure getting my saves up would be super important, as well as AC, but I'm looking for other suggestions too. Recently I've had some bad times with getting grappled, and the only thing that comes to mind for me is a potion of gaseous form to fix that problem...

What is the cheapest option to escape grapples?

How can I get a heightened Iuon stone thing that negates deeper darkness, or anything that gives me blind fight?

I might be buying an item that will provide me 10 ft of scent, and I have never really used that. Any tips on how to use it most effectively, and suggestions on how I can prep the GM before the game so they're better aware of my ability?

Suggestions to consumables to buy?

An incandescent blue sphere ioun stone slotted into a wayfinder will give you +2 Wisdom and Blind-Fight, helping with both darkness and will saves.

A cheaper option for Deeper Darkness is an Oil of Daylight (750gp/2PP).

For the heightened stone you need a caster in-game with Heighten Spell and Continual Flame prepared/known.

Salve of slipperiness is 1000gp and gives you a +20 competence bonus on Escape Artist checks and combat maneuver checks to escape a grapples. Wears off after 8 hours. You could draw and apply it while grappled (since you likely won't draw an AoO from the grappler) but that means eating an extra round in its arms/tentacles/maw.

Best bet for grapple is to see if you can convince a caster to prepare Liberating Command.

Here's a checklist for combat preparedness:

LOW LEVELS (1-3)
Melee
Ranged
Healing (CLW+)
Darkness
Slashing
Piercing
Blunt
Silver
Cold Iron
Swarm
Ooze
Rope

MID LEVELS (4-7)
Healing (CMW+)
Deeper Darkness
Adamantine
Evil
Invisible
Incorporeal

HIGH LEVELS (7+)
Flying
Grappling

An ally who has a decent caster level and liberating command memorised. Alternatively, one of the lesser-known uses of the grease spell is to give a +10 bonus to CMD and escape artist checks to escape grapples.

Custom items are a no-no in PFS. As for blind fight, the resonant power of an incandescant blue sphere ioun stone in a wayfinder will get you that. Or get an oil of daylight. 1 use only, but only 750gp.

Tell the GM you have that ability? As for how to use it effectively, scent allows you to detect when the beastie comes into your scent radius. It's a little broader than the AoE of a faerie fire, so you probably want to go with a glitterdust centred on you the moment you smell the enemy. Best to use a scroll to keep the save DC low, 'cos you might get blinded by it too.

See above. Potions of lesser restoration, buy a scroll of breath of life to give to the cleric/oracle (and stick close to him), first-aid gloves, scroll potion of remove blindness. Scroll of see invis. If you have cash to spare, a golembane scarab is one of those things you never think you need, until you need it and wish to all the gods you had bought one. Some scenarios you almost certainly want it for...for example any scenario with the word 'golem' in the title.
