My contribution of a third one is a bit more small-scale and backwater: The city-state of Hollowfaust from the Scarred Lands campaign setting. It's an enlightened despotism run by and for non-Evil necromancers. It's not actually "my favorite fantasy country," but I felt it deserved mention. . . .

You know... that was a really fun little setting. Thank you for mentioning, and reminding, me of it.

+1 for Dragaera. I mostly want to eat the foods Steven Brust has tantalized us with. . . .

The Exchange

America! The President is elected fairly by the entire nation as the very best person in the whole country for the job. Hard work is rewarded at the day's end with fair pay. All colors and creeds live in harmony, gathering together for many social occasions; you never know when somebody will show up with a spare pie as a neighborly gift. Beer is inexpensive and of high quality, but aside from the lovable town drunk (only one per town), nobody is ever drunk in public. Doors don't have to be kept locked, and women can walk freely and fearlessly anywhere they like at any hour of the day or night. All the other nations are a little envious, but America is so generous and considerate that it doesn't have to fight anybody (although, of course, it would win if it did.) Small businesses, white picket fences and hilariously large cars are all thriving. Even the natives who were, sadly, evicted from their land so America could be born are now prospering thanks to generous land grants, fair treatment, and the undying appreciation that their neighbors have for the gift that is America. Literacy is universal, drug addiction unheard of, and medical and legal services are easily affordable even to the least fortunate citizens - who are, of course, still very fortunate.

Of course, there's a nation by that name in real life too, but why depress ourselves by dwelling on that America?

Scarab Sages

That, or the "America" from Parts: The CLONUS Horror....

Liberty's Edge

Do you mean to suggest that isn't the real AMERICA? Pffah I say! Pffah!

Sigil's not really a nation, but it is awesome.

I rather like Gondor--very rich tradition and history.

Danigau. If you know what that is without clicking the link, you rock.

And of course, ANDORAN!!!!!

I'll chime in again for Dragaera, sure. I never really thought about it for Pathfinder, but I was planning to recreate Castle Black (with Morrolan, Aliera, and Sethra) in Legend...so it must've made an impact.

Oh... and let's not forget... is it Hawk? The scary powerful psychic/psion? Vlad hires him sometimes... Oh great. Now I have to go read the series again.

Daymar the Hawklord. He had some funny quirks I'd like to include on a mage sometime, like adding special effects to his spells.

My favourite is that alternate version of the Warhammer Old World where Blood Bowl has pretty much replaced other, more traditional forms of warfare. Be a fan and tour the world following your team, become involved in making sure they win. If truly mad you could even play. But never, never become the coach.

I did do a pretty fun 2e D&D campaign in Ankh-Morpork for a bit back in high school. It was pretty fun. So yeah I'll add that to my list.
