Does anybody limited wish for greater effects?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Other than the two examples given in the spell description, how does one rule whether a given effect is available via limited wish, or requires a full wish?

Yes, yes, yes, I know, go by the equivalent level of spell that would be required to duplicate it. But some things just aren't duplicable by spells, like "I wish NPC X smelled like unwashed pig vomit for a solid month" (in a way that doesn't give him the stench ability but does make interaction with others almost impossible) or "I wish my house glowed in the dark" (and could only be temporarily suppressed by darkness spells or disjoined, but not dispelled), or "I wish that jackass over there instantaneously turned bright green and shrank by a foot" (like the rod of wonder).

What limited wishes have you seen, what would you allow as a limited wish, and which of the two, if any, should have been a proper wish.

Two of those effects are roughly equivalent to Bestow Curse, and the other is a minor special effect no more powerful than Continual Flame. All of these are easily within the power level of Limited Wish.

The non-dispelable part may or may not be tricky depending on what you want. Either you want to give the house a glow-in-the-dark paint job, in which case the paint is non-magical and thus non-dispellable, but works just like glow in the dark paint would and could be scraped off or otherwise similarly removed, and perhaps stop glowing after a few hours in the dark, or you want something more magical, in which case depending on how generous your GM is, it would probably be dispelable.
