I was thinking about this as my group is about to embark upon the third chapter. If they do manage to get Lamatar's body back to Myriana I want to make the reincarnation to be epic, something to remember besides the fact that a ghost reincarnated a dead undead. Now it says that Lamatar never returns to civilization, but chooses to become the guardian of Whitewillow.
What I am thinking is him not coming back as anything from the reincarnate table, but as a Unicorn/Ranger. Not that I would really need to create a Stat block for him, but I want too. Would his CR be 11? Would be the hit points, would it become 8d10+32 + 4d10+16 (taking into account toughness)? Convert some of his feats to something more animalish, Instead of rapid shot and point-blank shot he would have multi-attack and weapon focus (horn)[from the unicorn stat block] and add them to the ones Lamatar had as a wight. Would he be short feats or not?
I don't know, maybe this is too much work for something that will never be used in game play.

At my table, I decided that he would come back as a centaur, with a Ranger level he'd been in life. His human torso resembled an idealized version of what he'd looked like in life.
After the reincarnation, his personality shifted somewhat-- While still friendly to the Black Arrows, he no longer desired to lead them. He remembered his life with the Black Arroews as one recalls a dream. He now had a mystical connection to Whitewillow. The connection to the land was such that he would never desire to leave it.
Of course, the specifics don't really matter. As written, the PCs never return to the area.

Centaur, what a great idea. Hope you don't mind if I steal it. That makes it way easier. But you're right, specifics don't matter.
