Is there a description/blurb for Bonekeep 3 available? Can someone share it here?

Pathfinder Society Special: Ruins of Bonekeep—Level Three

A Pathfinder Society Special designed for levels 5–9.

The Pathfinders descend deeper into the ruins of Bonekeep, a centuries-old siege fortress. The deeper dungeons hold even deadlier threats, yet even they cannot compare to the terrible revelations of the tower’s true purpose.

Thanks for the quick reply, John!

Has something change? Is Bonekeep 3 being offered again?

Will it be offered for play later or is Runt my alchemist only going to be able to do two levels?

Scarab Sages

It will probably be released to VO's and 4/5 stars like the other two sometime in the future.

For those interested Bonekeep III is being offered at Aethercon, November 14th-16th, which affords many of us an opportunity to play it despite the fact we can not muster a 50 table event easily in our regions.

Does Level 3 have a name? Level 1 was The Silent Grave and Level 2 was Maze of the Mind Slave. Or has no one emerged to let us know what it's name is...

Shadow Lodge 4/5

I believe it's called The Waking Tomb.

Correct

We'll have 3 tables of it at U-Con in Ypsilanti, MI on the same weekend as AetherCon, plus 100 additional slots of PFS.

That sounds an awful lot like The Waking Rune, I guess we're running out of name ideas.

I think Paizo needs to work on their advertising. They seem to be very liberal with their interpretation of "exclusive". Now, don't get me wrong, I would like the opportunity to play Bonekeep 3. It's just a matter of integrity. From their blog, they strongly implied, if not down right advertized, that Bonekeep 3 would only be available at GenCon. Now I'm sure the advertizing lawyers out there will find there magical loopholes, but for a game that is based on trust and integrity, this is a shady at best.

I'm pretty sure they used the same terminology for every other season exclusive and followed the same rules with Bonekeep 3. The truly GenCon-only scenarios were advertised as such. The fact that only 7 people at most got to play it at GenCon makes it an exclusive experience.

GenCon 2013 News:
We will be offering two exclusives this year at Gen Con, one on Thursday night and one on Saturday night. On Thursday evening, we'll be running a particularly challenging (and lethal) Tier 3—7 scenario, the Ruins of Bonekeep, Level 1: The Silent Grave, written by Jason Bulhman, Lead Designer at Paizo Publishing. This is the first of a series of special events designed to test your character to its limits. It debuted at Winter Fantasy this past January and will make a few limited appearances throughout the spring and summer convention season leading up to Gen Con. On Saturday night, we will follow up Ruins of Bonekeep, Level 1 with Ruins of Bonekeep, Level 2, also written by Jason. It is also being designed for Tier 3—7 characters, and again, will be particularly challenging and lethal. Ruins of Bonekeep, Level 2 will make its debut at Gen Con. For both of the exclusives, the threat of character death is very real, but the potential rewards are greater as a result. You will be able to, as a table, decide to leave the event at any time should it become too deadly for you, except when engaged in combat. If this is not the type of event for you, please look for other options during Slots 3 and 9. We will only run each level one time at Gen Con so both will be limited, exclusive events. On a side note, we will have a few limited tables running all three of the new Season 5 scenarios if you would rather not participate in either of the exclusives.

Yep, missed the 2013 wording. I just wish some of these specials were truly 'special' at GenCon.

I understand your feelings. I am thankful to have participated in the Grand Convocation, and while I wouldn't feel cheated if they ran it again, I understand how others would. Hopefully the staff can work in more one-shot events like that and Race for the Runecarved Key Part 2 in the future. (I still wish I could see the manuscript for that one...)

I'm glad they opened up Bonekeep 3 for other Cons. It makes every con in our area something to look forward to and don't feel left out.

For some of us travelling to Gencon is REALLY EXPENSIVE.
When you have to make the trip from the other side of the world, the airfare alone hits 2 to 3k and that is not including hotel and local transportation costs or even the entry fee for the con.

My friends and I are planning to go to gencon next year, and we are likely to burn out our pockets just to make it there.
By making such specials like Bonekeep open for other cons, the PFS community at large won't feel left out.

It was listed as exclusive because it ran in only one slot at Gen Con. Calling it shady is a bit over the top.

We actually did do a very exclusive event, Race for the Runecarved Key part 2, at Gen Con. It only ran at that Gen Con and has never been run since. It wasn't very well accepted and people still ask to this day to be able to play it. I understand Gen Con is the convention of the year. However, I don't like for all the work development does to go into an event that is only run once ever. Our resources can be better utilized.

As for the word "exclusive" sure offer up some other options and I will consider a name change for the event for Gen Con 2015.

How about a premier scenario, offered first at Gen Con 2015 and may be opened to other Cons at a later date?
