Shadow Lodge

Zombie baby....stupid!!!
Zombie dog.....stupid!!!
Fuel truck not being taken...stupid!!!!

Sad that the writers for this show are so bad.

Well, it is the same company that brought us Sharknado, so it would be silly to expect another Walking Dead. SyFy has a habit of doing campy, low-budget stuff.

That said, I got to film a couple of scenes as an extra in one of the later season 1 episodes, so I'm watching just for the "Oh! There I am!" moment. I was impressed that the zombies looked so good in post-production. The make-up was Halloween costume level in daylight.

They're still filming here, so I'm hoping to get called back again. Keeping my fingers crossed that one of these times I'll be able to actually get into the zombie makeup, or at least get killed by zombies.

Very coll that you were able to be a part of Z Nation, also hope you get more.

That said, so far they have been inconsistent. First episode the zombies were medium speed(human normal)zombies. Second episode they were slow zombies. The baby zombie playing hide and seek, instead of just attack like any other zombie, was just very annoying. Same thing with the dog at Northern Lights.

Then they spent all that times filling up the fuel truck and then leaving it because they were faced with 6 zombies......sad.

From what we were told, the speed of the zombies is dependent upon their "freshness." They start fast, and slow down as they decompose. Granted, they don't make that clear at all in the show. The baby thing was pretty stupid. Also, not much of a threat, even if it had a few baby teeth.

It shocks me that anyone would consider a TV show made by the Asylum to have any promise at all. Especially a zombie show, which might be the most bloated, derivative horror genre out there right now.

Scarab Sages

Finally! A "Walking Dead" I can watch while drinking!

They did make some comment like "we've got a fast one" which implied the zombies would have varying speeds. And now, to kick back and wait for the zom-nado finale!

Second episode was better than the first. A couple of scenes where you could tell they filmed in Spokane: the bridge they cross at the beginning, and the Banner Fuel truck from the latter half of the episode.

Trivia: The "oil" that the zombies were coated in was a mixture of livestock birthing lubricant and black dye.
