Packet of Arcane Marks

50gp
a Small stack of 50 paper pamphlets that are blank, when pressed against a surface, they act as arcane mark and you choose what the mark displays upon pressing the the pamphlet to the surface. also known as glow in the dark stick notes.

My Paladin of Cayden has a tankard that, every time you set it down, refills with ale. He plays his character as constantly in different shades of drunkenness. The ale can not be put into other containers, you can only drink it.

Neat idea, but far too expensive.

Would you buy a packet of glow in the dark Post-its for $5000? Because that's more or less what you're proposing here. (If you look at the wage sale and the price list, a gold piece is $100, more or less).

Similarly, the Jar of Endless Pickles is $10,000 for an endless supply of pickles. I suppose that a deli might be able to use one of those profitably.....

I think it should be way more expensive. Spells that create portals to pickle dimensions ain't cheap.

Endless Cheese Wheel

This looks like an ordinary wheel of cheese, however as long as a single crumb remains, the whole cheese will regenerate completely the next day. The cheese only regenerates from the largest piece remaining of the original and will not regenerate from other pieces. It is not subject to natural conditions that would normally rot cheese, nor can it become infested, but it can be permanently ruined by putrefy food and water or similar spells.

Bread of the Poor

This looks like an ordinary loaf of bread that feels pleasantly warm, however as long as a single crumb remains, the whole loaf will regenerate completely the next day. The bread only regenerates from the largest piece remaining of the original and will not regenerate from other pieces. The regenerated bread is always fresh and pleasantly warm regardless of outside temperature. It is not subject to natural conditions that would normally rot bread, nor can it become infested, but it can be permanently ruined by putrefy food and water or similar spells.

Bottle of Endlessly Flavored Water

This looks like an ordinary bottle for containing water or other liquids. When poured, it has enough inside it for six average-sized cups. The water is always refreshingly cool. The pourer can choose to make the water taste like any sweet fruit. If no choice is made, the flavor is random. The flask refills itself at a rate of one cup every ten minutes. The contents of the flask will only pour into another container (including directly into a mouth) like a cup or bowl and will not spill out otherwise.

I'm not sure what the cost and other factors would be for these. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Those sound positively otherworldly, Indagare.

*cough*hint-hint*cough*

Also: hi, nice to see you again!

Wait, it's medium sized and it cannot sustain a creature?

Scarab Sages

The +1 Back-scratcher:

It's a wand with a small hand or paw on the end. Capable of making a number of rude gestures, and can cast mage hand 1/day. When balled in a fist, it counts as a magic weapon that inflicts 1 point of bludgeoning damage.

Has anyone got ideas for inexpensive consumables, like Luiren spring cheese or mad honey?

What about inexpensive minor "monkey's paw" items that create a non-targetable "karmic" drawback?

Chair of Comfort
price 400 gp

At first glance this appears to be a normal chair of fair quality, but otherwise unremarkable. Anyone sitting in the chair, however, will realize its magical effects. The chair is amazingly comfortable, even for non-humanoid creatures or creatures afflicted with anything that would normally make sitting painful.

Anyone sitting in the chair must use a move action and make a DC 13 will save to stand up. Failure means they lose the action and cannot stand up that round, but they may make another attempt attempt again next round with a cumulative +1 bonus. The bonuses only accumulate if the sitter continues making attempts; should they go a round without trying to stand, they lose any bonuses accumulated.

Smartass.

I meant they weren't mini-pickles. Also even if it were the size of a creature, you'd still get malnutrition and dehydrated from eating only pickles.

Pickles have virtually no nutritional content. You would have to eat 30 lbs of pickles a day to get 100% of the daily calories you need. (people eat between 3-5 lbs a day)

Better to be fed them than to feed them. At least it keeps them out of the forums.

Goodberry Pie

This looks like a finely baked pie, however, it is created out of goodberries. The smell of the pie is extremely enticing to all natural creatures. Unnatural creatures (like the undead) find the smell repulsive.

Each piece of pie acts like a single goodberry, curing 1 point of damage when eaten and providing nourishment as if it were a normal meal for a Medium creature. Eating the whole pie cures 8 points and keeps a Medium creature nourished for 8 days. Eating any more goodberry pie or any other goodberry within the same 24-hour period gives no additional benefits. Further curing may be had on subsequent days, but a creature cannot be sustained longer than the 8 day limit. (Generally, eating more goodberries or goodberry pie after eating a whole one will leave the eater feeling increasingly bloated.)

The pie retains the properties of goodberries for 8 days, after which time it is simply a normal, delicious, non-magical pie.

Creation

Time Required: Making this pie requires 1 day.

Feat Required: Craft Wondrous Item.

Skills Required: Spellcraft or Profession (baker).

Spell Required: Goodberry

Cost: 50 GP

Goodberry Wine Jug*

This jug of wine contains five doses, and each dose cures 8 points of damage as well as provides nourishment as if it was a normal meal for a Medium creature. An imbiber benefits from only one dose in a single 8-hour period; drinking additional doses of goodberry wine or eating additional goodberries during this time has no effect.

*Taken from here.

Creation

Time Required: Brewing a potion requires 1 day.

Feat Required: Brew Potion.

Skills Required: Spellcraft or Craft (alchemy)

Spell Required: Goodberry

Cost: 50 GP
