Nature Fang Studied Target

I was looking at the nature fang as kind of melee druid alternative and kind of playing with it, when I realized it may be a really strong caster alternative too.

The nature fang gets studied target. There is only one part I'm considering which is here The DCs of slayer class abilities against that opponent increase by 1.

So, that seems really good for a caster. But is spell casting a class ability? Based on the evangelist ruling (though that was class feature not ability) I'm leaning towards yes but I'm not sure here.

People are sort of split on it. Most people argue that the archetype doesn't change your druid class features into slayer ones, it just allows you to change your druid levels into slayer levels when determining studied target's benefits.

There are some who believe that the archetype should change every instance of "druid" (or inquisitor, in the case of the sanctified slayer) into "slayer" for studied target.

However, as written, neither archetype modifies what studied target applies its benefits to and neither archetype modifies one class's features to act as another class's features. So this really needs an official FAQ, but for PFS the answer is almost assuredly going to be, "Doesn't work," for the time being.

So it mentions slayer in all the relevant parts, including here "The slayer then gains a +1 bonus on Bluff, Knowledge, Perception, Sense Motive, and Survival checks attempted against that opponent, and a +1 bonus on weapon attack and damage rolls against it."

So by that reasoning, by RAW this ability doesn't function at all because there is no text in there saying change Slayer to druid?

Or do they mean just the DC part doesn't function because it says Slayer Class Abilities?

If the later is the case, is a Druid gaining Slayer talents count as a Slayer for those talents, or are those a "druid" class feature?

Rough, guess I'll sit back on this until a FAQ comes out to clarify if the ability even works for a druid at all.
