I'm actually hoping for 100/hr to match EE so we can see how that plays. They could set up some areas to grant bonus XP if needed for higher-level testing, but I'd certainly like to have a better sense of what things will be like "for real" come EE. Not a problem if not the case, of course, as I'll just self-limit my XP expenditures to match.

Maybe someone at GW could grace us with an elf/dwarf teaser jpg today? (Unless it would delay Alpha 8, of course.)
Edit: Are the servers down today, between Alpha 7 and Alpha 8?

Dwarves will be awesome.
There are comments on the Alpha forum about assets acquired in 7 having lower durability.
Does that mean we are not getting a total wipe ? Or was it referring to assets made available in 7.1 ?

Update: We probably will not be starting Alpha 8 until Friday. We'll have big dev blog on Wednesday that has lots of good news about the plans for the next couple of weeks.

If the announcement and the delay in releasing Alpha 8 involve giving PFO more time to be "readier" for EE, then I'll be very happy. As many others stated in the last blog thread, most of the readers here are happy to see things come a little later if the launch can be more complete and ready and not hopping from one stop-gap to another.

I am selfishly sad but the sum of delay-related complaints is almost certainly exponentially smaller than the gripes-in-waiting they are cleaning up until Friday, which is smart design.

When the Blog is deemed late by Avari, pandas are killed to motivate immediate posting. The longer the wait, the more pandas.

It's worth noting that the video for that blog (The Map) includes a small-font disclaimer at the very end saying "No pandas were harmed during the production of this video".
It is a tradition in many older MMOs (no idea where it originated) when someone asks for a timeline to reply 2 weeks. When is the patch? 2 weeks. When will we get Dragons? 2 weeks. When will the serve be back up? 2 weeks.
So when is EE? 2 weeks

Okay, so now I can't read this without hearing the voice of the two weeks lady, from the original, "Total Recall". LOL!

The good news is, as of the last word we had from GW, Alpha 8 will come with a self-patching system. That would mean no more need to manually uninstall and reinstall once we remove 7 and download 8.
Tomorrow's blog could change that, but I hope not.
