Background music for a steampunk campaign

Dark Archive

I'm putting together a playlist of background music for an upcoming campaign and I'm going for a Steampunk/Victorian theme. I'm looking for stuff that is instrumental and not super distracting. Right now I have the two Guy Richie Sherlock movie soundtracks, the Arcanum PC game soundtrack, and the Dishonored PC game soundtrack. Any other recommendations would be super appreciated!

Amon Tobin. (Organic eclectic electronic music)

Silver Crusade

Done softly and occasionally, a little background music can nicely establish mood and setting. Just make sure the volume is kept very low, so it's not distracting. Even low background music often makes it hard to hear people speak.

I'm suggesting a number of the tracks from the Bastion soundtrack. Spike in the Rail fits a steampunk setting quite decently.

Alice madness returns soundtrack

Pure Steam offers a soundtrack. $5, digital download, an hour of music.

Also, there's the music of Abney Park. It's got lyrics, so I don't know if that's a bust.

Starfinder Superscriber

Beats Antique if you want kind of the gypsy steampunk style music. Abney Park if you don't mind some lyrics. Sepiachord Passport has some great music but it's like 98% lyrics as well.

I listen to nightmares on wax fairly often, that may be ok. It's somewhat instramental electronica.

Exactly, we have problems hearing the DM over chatter as it is. And Vice versa.
