Does Slashing Grace cause the weapon to actually deal Piercing damage?

As far as I can tell, Slashing Grace does not in any way alter the damage dealt by the weapon it modifies. Flavor text is not rules text, so "you can stab people with a sword" is not applicable here.

It says you can treat the weapon as a piercing weapon for the purposes of class features which require one but never says it deals piercing damage now.

Silver Crusade

Correct, the feat does not modify the type of damage that the weapon deals.

Mostly, it lets you use slashing weapons with Swashbuckler class features.

I just want to make sure that this interpretation is correct. I suppose Dervish Dance works the same as well. Trying to make sure a build is airtight. Thanks. :)

General Pathfinder baseline: Things don't get altered unless something says they get altered. Damage type is not a feat or class ability, so it isn't effected by either feat.

Thanks. :)
