I've been spending a lot on this game as well. The sleeves alone. Jeez. No wonder UltraPRO is including free promotional sleeves in S&S.

Are any of you doing any custom game stuff with your own home made cards or scenarios? I'm really surprised more of this isn't going on.

Oh, I made a scenario for characters that beat RotRL... I should probably get to posting that XD

Jonah, after reading your thread on HomeBrew, I was inspired to do something -- but I'm not sure what -- yet. Ever since the release I have been excited about the prospects of doing something like a campaign but I'm trying to think of creative ways to exit the monotony of X decks with X items, X monsters...

1) I think there must be a way to use the cards in a way that increases the narrative and plot.
2) I like the idea of going to an area and encountering area specific monsters/weapons/items that is yet to be captured. viz. When I go to the catacombs I don't like encountering a bunyip.

Perhaps this is not the thread where this post belongs though

Yes, not really the place for it, I agree. I'm just curious as to the lack of posted custom scenarios. I saw the compilation thread, and that's just variations with the default cards. It's challenging enough to do that, but I just figured I was missing something. If we're spending hundreds on a single game, it just seems like there'd be more creative output for home games especially from this kind of community.

I'll take it elsewhere though! Thanks for checking out my homebrew thread. I will not be deterred by the silence and general lack of "homebrew" over there. ;)

Yep, I ordered all class decks. I love to have the options. I also ordered a few Ranzak extra to give to people I know buy the game without promos.

Furthermore, I can say that shipping a Poog via e-bay from the US to Europe easily double the cost. But so worth it :)

That's true. We need a Billabong location.

Yeah... I have a problem. Who else has this problem? And who else has it so bad that they've done something ridiculous, like my buying two of everything in RotR? Spill your deep, dark secrets in here, and all you wives out there: don't be surprised if you find this and see how much your husband has spent on this game. You already knew it, deep down...

I bought the (Rise of the Runelords) game late, so I had to go out of my way to ensure I got 1st printings of the decks (as my base set was a 1st printing). I had to return some of them because they were 2nd printing, and order some 1st printings from the other side of the world. I sleeved everything and got the Broken Token tray.

So the game cost me $350.

But you know what? I finished it last week after a month of play and loved it. I will dip my toes in Skull & Shackles for a week or two but will go back soon for a second campaign of Rise of the Runelords while waiting for Skull & Shackles to get complete. I have thousands of dollars of RPG books that never got opened, so I'm pretty happy with the cost-to-fun ratio of the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game.

Oh, and I'm pretty happy I didn't attempt to track down promo cards for this release, as that would have been, by your definition, ridiculous!
