Toot-toot is true neutral. He always does what's best for him.

Also, let me finish my "Barry Berlin" build and I'll totally play him whenever you are playing Toot-toot.

That build looks very solid. I like it.

Who's Toot toot?

I'd go LN or TN for toot toot - lawful because he is a creature of faerie and they are very much bound by their oaths. if you have to put something on the good-evil alignment scale it should technically be evil since he is aligned with winter through dresden. yes, not very evil, and good fits dresden, but toot toot has never exhibited altruism so i cannot see how e would be good even without being part of winter.

i think that the alternate racial trait of guardian of nature/bond to land/eternal hope fits toot toot better than defensive training and racial hatred, toot toot has never gone up against giants or shown any sort of proficiency there and goblins are part of winter so the hatred doesn't work for me.

otherwise nothing strikes me as out of place or gimping the character.

---sorry for lack of caps, hope it doesn't make this too hard to read---

I believe they are speaking of the faerie / pixie from the Dresden Files novels. An extremely tiny, but brave and capable pixie at that. Although, he, like some other faeries can take things quite literally and has an extreme love of pizza and enjoys being given titles (i.e. captain, general, etc...) even if they're for most anything. Takes pride in it.

Cnetarian, mark your spoilers please.

Winter =/= Evil. Winter is harsher than Summer, but it's pointed out in various parts of the Dresden Files that even Winter has good aspects to them and Summer bad, especially since Winter has (mostly) been a much more stable force, for good or ill, in the DF Universe compared to the Summer court. The Summer court has been a serious source of... problems... in some books.

I'd call Toot-Toot TN myself, being bound by oaths but not taking particular care to make them. The oaths part is more of a compulsion than a choice, anyway, and alignment is about attitude a lot of times.

Yes, Toot Toot is the little pixie warrior, Grand Marshall General Minimus of the Za Lord Guard. Without spoilers, Toot Toot's character steadily changes through out the books. I'm referring to his most recent depictions as in Cold Days.

As previously stated, winter isn't evil and even if it was it wouldn't be PFS legal so it's out. The point about Fae being oath bound is well taken. I personally though of Toot as NG, he was definitely LN at his first encounter in the books. I feel he isn't LG so is he more NG or LN?

I went back and forth on land bound as well. I was thinking of Forest or urban as favored terrain. Because of Toots size, isn't everything a giant to him? I'm open to change this one but not sure.

Other advise welcome

Faeries in general should be lawful purple (or in Toot's case lawful pizza). They don't really have a place on the good-evil scale but the bound-by-their-word, unable-to-lie thing is the core of the whole fae paradigm. So I guess LN would be most fitting.

Silver Crusade

We should get a whole group to play together and they're all Dresden characters. A female human investigator/pistolero gunslinger to be Murphy, a human druid who wild shapes into a wolf to be one of the Alphas, of course Barry Berlin human wizard, your Toot Toot build, and the best thing I can think of for Thomas is a barbarian, although bloodrager might be more thematic. Oh, and Molly is either an illusionist wizard or a sorceress with a bloodline that boosts illusion.

Oh, Molly is a Heavens oracle with the Awesome Display revelation. And her dad is obviously a great sword wielding paladin.

Murphy can't be an Investigator; I'd go ballistic if there were a Murphy with magic/extracts. Gunslinger all the way, or potentially fighter if no guns.

I'm on board with Thomas as a CN/CG (depends on the book) Bloodrager. He's got a little bit of magic, not nearly enough to be a full on wizard, that he uses in a book that focuses on him (he does a little person-finding cantrip, if I recall), so Bloodrager would make sense.

Billy/Will would probably be a Shapeshifter Ranger, I guess. There still isn't a full BAB, non-magic using shapeshifter, yet. *Grumble*.

Michael and Shiro would be Paladins, but I think that Sanya would actually be a NG Fighter. Given his outlook on life and the faith, I don't think he'd be a Paladin but just a guy who works with the Church for the greater good.

Harry would be a Wizard, or possibly an Arcanist. He could be a Spellslinger to add the gun and stuff, but by Cayden Cailean's spilled ale that archetype looks terrible. Molly would be a Witch or maybe a Bard, with a focus on illusions.

And Butters would be an Expert (NPC Class)... but a really cool one.

Silver Crusade

Shiro is a Lawful Good Sword Saint Samurai. I agree Sanya isn't a paladin. More like LN or NG fighter.

I said Heavens oracle for Molly because of how effective her illusions are.

For Murphy, I just see her as a bit more than a straight gunslinger. Remember how the sword of the cross responds to her when she wields it and how Harry sees her when he looks at her with his Sight.

Scarab Sages

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Butters would be an expert/bard/spoiler

Spoiler:
jedi

You haven't read the last book have you....SPOILERS :) (not going to give them.)

Silver Crusade

You better not post those spoilers! Even when I know I shouldn't I can't resist reading them. Thankfully I'm picking the book up tomorrow.
