After looking over the ACG I had a few questions about the Shaman class.

First, does the wandering spirit affect the shaman's spirit familiar at all? i.e. does a life shaman with a battle wandering spirit have a fast healing 1, +2 natural AC familiar, or just a fast healing familiar?

Secondly, what is the maneuverability of a Heaven's Shaman's familiar's flying? Does it vary based on whether it has a flight speed already or not? Is there something about distance and maneuverability I don't know about?

Finally, with the new spell hex vulnerability, can one use it to target allies with a beneficial hex more than once per day? (as written it seems to work but it doesn't fit the theme of the spell very well... "I curse you with more healing, Muahahaha.")

I am very curious about this as well.

If not can a shaman take something like spirit's gift?

Also as far as improved familiar is concerned does "effective wizard level" apply to familiar feats? Specifically the selection of a template applied to the critter option. I am curious about a celestial skunk instead of my regular skunk.

As I understand it, each additional spirit is just that, an additional familiar appropriately leveled. It provides its buff to the caster in addition to whatever other pets you have. There was much discussion about if you could take Improved Familiar feat for the special familiars, but no clear answer.

Any flying qualities are part of the animal stats, and thus the Beastiary. Hawk for example has a flight speed of 60 (average).

Why not on the Hex Vulnerability? Not everything has to be negative in life. Really the only thing you can do is blast repeated heals for x/rounds. Actually, this is pretty broken, as you could target yourself or a friendly and with time heal them to max with cure light/moderate as long as you keep the vulnerability on them.

Bump, Cause I am curious about the familiar in relation to the wandering spirit as well.
