advice on kingmaker?

I'm about to start kingmaker and I'm curious if it would be a waste of time to build a character geared towards fighting casters. Could someone whose played it before tell me if there's many casters to be fought?

I seem to recall it following the trend of the other APs. Very few casters at the beginning and everything either cats spells or has SLA by the end.

It depends on your GM since that module is ripe with random encounters, but I would say that this choice can be very rewarding. As someone who has GMed the entire path, I can tell you, that the spellcasting enemies are the tricky ones^^

Right on. I'm gonna build a sorcerer with 2 levels or arcane archer then, imbue arrows with antimagic field and pelt the casters from afar lol.
