leadership score question

Advice

I have a player who just hit level 7 and wants to take leadership. I'm working on trying to figure out his leadership score. here is what I got so far
level 7
charisma bonus +6
has a pet -2
has a stronghold +2

my questions are this
1) what would you consider moves around alot? they have a house and go back to town. i'm running a modified kingmaker campaign so they have a kingdom

2) greatly renown. I have a few issues here.
a- he is the "ruler" of his kingdom all be it a small and new kingdom
b- part of the back story he wrote was that he is a wanted man for a crime he did not commit but wanted no the less. so he is sort of renown but only as a wanted criminal.
c- he's done some things that have pissed off a few NPCs so he's known but again not for good things

3)a special power. he's a sorcerer with a Draconian blood line so he has some special powers like growing claws and eventually more

what would you put his leadership score at?

Just ran into a similar problem myself. Same situation with player in Skull and Shackles In rereading the rules, I noticed that the modifiers are grouped in three sections, one applies to leadership in general, the second applies to attracting a cohort, and the third applies to attracting followers. If I read this correctly this time, a PC can actually have two leadership scores, one for the cohort and the other for followers. Does anyone know if this is the intent? I agree that special power is undefined and so open to GM interpretation I would tend to avoid anything that is a regular class feature as being special, otherwise someclasses might turn out to be more special than others. Also, is there a level of renown below "Great" renown? jCan the DM award by RAW +1 for regular renown, say?

Leader's Reputation Modifier My take
Great renown +2 Do people you have not met praise(or fear) your coming based on your reputation. I am in S&S, and GM is using Infamy/20 for renown
Fairness and generosity +1 Do people ask you to decide questions for them? Do they expect largess of you? Spending money buying stuff does not count here, but giving to the poor and rebuilding after a war would.
Special power +1 this would be a power not common to characters. A gun in a gun poor setting might count. A signature spell might count.
Failure –1 do people laugh behind you back? Or worse, in front?
Aloofness –1 do you keep yourself apart from people?
Cruelty –2 are you known for some bad character flaw?

For cohorts, the Leader... Modifier My take
Has a familiar, special mount, or animal companion –2 Pet?
Recruits a cohort of a different alignment –1 Compare alignments
Caused the death of a cohort –2 Cumulative per cohort killed. putting one in harms way, obvious. Not pulling them out of harm when in too deep, maybe.

For followers, the Leader... Modifier My take
Has a stronghold, base of operations, guildhouse, etc. +2 Castles are good. So are ships.
Moves around a lot –1 1 or 2 day trips mean nothing. Gone for a week or more at a time, often, is different. Say < 75% near home is a lot.
Caused the death of other followers –1 Ditto as cohorts

My character has the feat, and has two different scores. As to what a GM can award, anything they want. If it has a reason that the character can strive to fulfill, it can easily work.
