Yea, there is another thread about the upcoming kickstarter.
Steven will neither confirm nor deny that it will include psionic dragons as the third stretch goal.

I have a question regarding one of the abilities the Draconic Exemplar gets and I wasn't sure where exactly to ask it, so I figured here would work.

The Sweeping Breath Draconic Gift says that the user can "cause a cone-shaped breath weapon to affect a half-circle with the same range." How do you calculate a "half-circle"?

180 degrees out to range.

Thanks! I think I can picture in my head how to draw that now. Having it rephrased like you did made it click in my brain for some reason.

Question: Would the mechanics work if you swapped a humanoid race character for a Tanimin? Kind of like a humanoid who is learning to be a dragon and thus slowly transforms into one.

Liberty's Edge

Please add an update to Herolabs that gives us some of your newer In the Company choices.

Please add this to herolab! I bought the In the Company of Monsters package and was gutted to find that this was not among them. Perhaps an In the Company of Monsters II herolab package?

I really like this, really like playing as dragons. Though any chance it might be ported over to D&D 5E? :)

We have no plans for it at this time. Talk to me again in Jannuary when WotC makes up its mind about licensing.

Ok, it's January... of 2016, but still, and there's now the official SRD/OGL stuff, think it's a possibility now? :D :D :D

Yes I have handed of the file for conversion, its very early in the process but we have started work on the manuscript, I would not expect anything for at least 90 days though.

We did have a guy, then he went silent, so we had to fire him, and have now hired a new guy, who is much more communicative.

We also have someone coding In The Company of Fey.

Does the book contain details on running other dragons - traditional metallic and chromatic dragons, imperial dragons, primal dragons, faerie dragons, etc? Or is it centered on Taninim as the PC race to be played. Been thinking of running a game where the players are all dragons who are being artificially aged faster as part of the storyline, and need a PC progression for the various dragon types.

is this the same as the kickstarter that was going to do, IIRC, a conversion of the Council of Wryms-easq game?

This is the pdf that predated it. The KS-version is not yet released and will cover, to my knowledge will cover the themes of imperial dragons etc. - the KS even met the goals for psionic and mythic dragons. The basic idea of the race is that it can cover the themes of the respective dragons while maintaining internal balance. (Since dragons are hierarchical in power-level and not balanced against one another.)

Do you know when it will be available?

The KS said June 2016 for an estimated release date.

Just recently got the booklet, and I'm really liking it ^_^

I would like to know if there is any plan to release some sort of enhancement product to it. I'd like to know how would the material here would mesh with the Avanced Class Guide, Occult Adventures and Ultimate Intrigue, mostly for the new classes. You could make the same with the new dragons that have been added in recent Bestiaries as well.

The thing is that a Taninim Kineticist... would work rather nicely. Hey, if they cannot have at-will breath weapons, the Kineticist is a no-brainer as an alternative. (BTW, I know why breath weapons have limited uses, for balancing, I'm not complaining about it one bit.)

One problem I do have... is the size adjustment... which isn't a general option, because you can only grow in size as a Draconic Hero or a Draconic Examplar. Yeah... I would have loved a feat to allow you to grow one size or a racial trait to start as a Medium dragon instead of Small.

But yeah, really love the booklet, and I hope that it could be expanded ^_^

There was a Kickstarter project for a newer version of this. There will be a PDF and hardcover book and the material from this PDF will be included. Backers of the project should get their copies in June.

The project is running behind as we are still in editing, so it won't ship in June, I will have a revised timeline when we come out of editing (its a big book).

No linnorms. I'm working on some linnorm-centric material that will be a part of a forthcoming sourcebook for the Lost Isles. (At least that's the current plan, it's early in design and doesn't yet have a scheduled release date.)

While hopefully this eventually gets released, now having the product I see it's possible to do a minimal linnorm build with the available material. The Lung alternate trait removes the Glide, which is about the only thing in the base race that goes against linnorms. Replace +2 Sense motive with a +2 to Escape Artist to represent budding "constant freedom of movement". Various other features like interesting breath weapon effects (though not nearly enough) and alternate modes of movement exist in the paragon class. So you can get something reasonable.

How will we know when the new source book and pdf will be available? Council of Wyrms was once of my favorite 2nd edition settings.

I will announce it here and all over the palace I am sure.

Very excited about this. Any idea as to when it will be published? Is it available for Pre Order yet?

HERO LAB

In the Company of Dragons & Fey Hero Lab Files have been sent off to Lone Wolf Development for final review. They will be sold together for $9.99.

I will let you know the release date when LWD lets me know, I expect July 1st at the earliest.

Very nice!

Any Half-dragon stuff?
No this is for dragons not half-dragons.

I know that they have an ability to assume a humanoid form, but... would it be "balanced" if they receive an upgraded ability (in a later product) to assume a half-dragon form?

Yeah, yeah, "half-dragons are annoying/overused", I know that, but still... it wouldn't be as far out as to see a high-level taninim assuming a half-dragon form during an encounter.

Didnt the Council of Wryms introduce half-dragons in 2nd edition?

Is the book now available?

Nope.

How different willevo the book be from this product? I got an email from Herolabout saying this product as well as the one on the fey is available to purchase.

The Book will add a campaign setting, an adventure, mythic dragons, psionic dragons, linnorm dragons, outer dragons, ferrous dragons, dragon riders, and dracomancers and several other OGL dragons.

Its eventual hero lab expansion will require you to own In the Company of Dragons & Fey.

Okay! Any update on what the book will be available?

I'm sorry to say you'll have to wait a bit for that update as Steve passed away on Tuesday July 6.

Fair winds and following seas, Steve.

Condolences to his family and friends.

Prayers for he and his family.

How good is this at duplicating True Dragons?

Has there been any update on the Council of Wyrms update?

Has anyone else had problems downloading the pdf?
