Designing and Running a Mythic Adventure

Advice

Shadow Lodge

I've never used the Mythic rules before, and I'm planning out a long-term homebrew campaign where the players will be eventually gaining mythic tiers. Has anyone had experience with designing a game utilizing mythic power, and can give some tips or advice on making such a game fun and memorable without letting the players' incredible power make the game too easy?

I am doing the same thing. make sure the party is cool with it and plans their characters accordingly. you can only pick mythic feats that you already have the normal ones for, ask the party to already have the next tier planned out and that they have read though the material, this wasn't done in mine it took 2hrs for six people I had one guy pitch a fit and take a flaw to get the feat he wanted, which made me a little irritated at him but I allowed it. keep in mind the abilities of mythic characters a sorcerer archmage can if they pick the wild arcana can spend a point and cast two fireballs in one round. I am most familiar with the archmage, there are to PCs and 2 NPCs with that one. with that said there is a lot of dmg output so I have being max HP on all enemies. the rouge trickster at lvl 7 could do over 100 points of damage on a crit. the surge ability can let them pass saves they might have failed. then their is the roleplay side of it. make their getting tiers interesting. my party floats in the air and light shoots out of their eyes and mouths and he air hums with energy. the max hps have helped in normal fights. boss fights they should be in the hundreds of hps. if mythic isn't a common thing make them have to look for the information and if they don't hide what they are it should get peoples attention. they can move faster fight better and cast quicker this could get powerful peoples attention. if you give it to them though an item you can take the item and they have to retrieve it. mythic is pathfinders epic play and the only example they have is in wrath of the righteous which has them fighting in the worldwound dealing directly with Iomedea and fighting powerful creatures.
