Thx!!

Too be honest, unless you're going the Sorceror route with your Eldritch Knight, I wouldn't go with Aasimar. The variant Aasimar that get +2 Int, don't get a 3rd level SLA.

As much as I like the teleportation Wizard, I'd go with a Human Wizard(Scryer Subschool) 1/Gun Tank Gunslinger 1/Eldritch Knight 10.

The Scryer Subschool for Wizard gives you your 3rd level SLA. Gunslinger, despite its name, has all of the weapon proficiencies you need and is, imo, a better 1 level dip than Fighter if you don't care about feats.

I won't put an array up for stats as I have no idea what you're using to generate them and you probably have your own idea of what you want anyway. However, I will put what I think the relative importance of each stat is:

Int>Str>Con>Dex>Cha=Wis

For feats, you have pretty much complete freedom with your feats. A personal favorite of mine is the Eldritch Heritage(Orc) line, you'll need at least a starting Cha of 11 for this. With it, you can get +6 to your Strength, something any Gish would love, and an improved version of Enlarge Person for all of 3 feats. If you're DM is more lenient, you can take them again to get the Wildblooded version of the Abyssal heritage and you'll get +6 Constitution to go along with your +6 Strength. This will save you a lot on that Belt of Physical Perfection you would probably be looking at.

Starting with 10+Con HP is quite a bit nicer than 6+Con HP, also.

The Exchange

a single piece of advice for a wizard gish for EK option. diviner wizard with the scryer subschool gets a spell like ability that replicates a 2nd level spell right off the bat this makes it real easy to qualify for some prcs early.

True, but if you're not planning to play much beyond lv13 (PFS for example), then I think a base aasimar would be better than using a variant heritage. Because the base would get early entry into EK, which would naturally give them a higher bad (+2 higher) and +2 to wisdom, in exchange for a +2 to str or int.

Silver Crusade

What archetype is useful with this buils Unbreakable or Ustalavic Duelist?

Ufff aasimar sorcerer with orc bloodline...

If you want diehard, go with unbreakable. If you want unarmed strike and a style feat, go with unarmed fighter. It all depends on what you want out of the character.

The Exchange

If you're not absolutely dedicated to Wizard, I have some nice things to say about fighter/witch. (I recommend Arcane Armor Training, although to be honest if you're willing to stick to hexes and Still spells you can do without). Spells that boost your allies, mislead your enemies, or inflict harm based purely on your Intelligence (with caster level setting, at most, the duration) are your best friends whether you go with witch or wizard.

Above all, remember to use your strengths, not mimic a 'pure' class's strengths. If you try to be 'the warrior' the pure warriors are going to outshine you; if you try to be 'the mage', ditto. I don't have to tell you that, of course, since as Gilthanas you were in the party with Caramon and Raistlin. Use your flexibility and wide range of options, and always watch for opportunities.

Silver Crusade

Arcane armor training i will take it when I have the prereq (caster level 3rd).

I would have start the build as a unbreakable or ustalavic (I want to be a fighter, nor the best in the party, but a fighter and have spells not like a dedicated wizard, as a fighter/wizard in AD&D 2n Ed) but to take magical knack trait I have to start as a wizard (transmuter for the +1 to a phisical hability), I take Arcane strike I need one more trait. I am thinkin to take a weapon as arcane bond to start with a gc weapon.

What do you think about this?

What race are you going with? If it is Aasimar, do not be a Transmuter Wizard as you don't get much of a bonus and you will exceed it later on. If you don't need to be a Scryer, go with Teleportation. You'll get the ability to teleport 5' 3+Int Mod times per day. This will absolutely save your life, since it allows you to automatically get out of grapples.

As for the arcane bond, make it your ring or amulet. Pretty much the best choice for that.

Silver Crusade

Ok thx, yes i going with normal aasimar for SLA. I have str 17 with transmuter 18...

You don't have to start as a wizard to take magical knack. It just wouldn't do anything for you until you do take lvs in wizard.

It may not be the most optimized, but here's an EK I've been planning for PFS myself.

Spoiler:

Aasimar (+2 wis, +2 cha)
Blade of Mercy, Bruising Intellect, Magical Knack and 1 other, maybe Reactionary.

Str 14
Dex 12
Con 14
Int 16
Wis 12
Cha 10

lv1 Unarmed Fighter - Enforcer, Unarmed Strike, Monkey Style
lv2 Wizard (Teleportation) - Spell Focus Conjuration
lv3 EK - Additional Traits, Arcane Armor Training
lv5 EK - Arcane Strike or Power Attack
lv7 EK - Combat Casting, Arcane Strike or Power Attack

That's about all I've decided so far.

off the top of my head i'd say an (early-entry):

[full BAB class] 1 / wizard 1 / eldritch knight 10 / hellknight signifier 8

.

example build:

Spoiler:
human sword saint samurai (order of the staff) 1 / wizard (diviner(scryer)[illusion/enchantment]) 1 / EK 10 / hellknight signifier 8

str 32 (5+2), dex 20 (5), con 20 (5), int 24 (5), wis 16, cha 16
+5 str (level), +6 all (gear), +5 str/+4 int (book/wish)

traits: magical knack (wizard) / armor master

assiduous gaze:
16 - elucidation
19 - veracity

feats:
1 - weapon focus (katana), power attack*
3 - improved initiative, combat reflexes*
5 - arcane armor training
7 - still spell, lunge*
9 - weapon specialization (katana)
11 - arcane armor mastery, greater weapon focus (katana)*
13 - dazing spell
15 - persistent spell
17 - spell mastery* (dimension door, wall of stone, emergency force sphere, ???, ???, ???, ???)
19 - spell mastery* (greater teleport, plane shift, overland flight, mind blank, contingency, ???, ???)

* - these feats are mostly filler, but having a store of 'get out of dodge/get revenge for stolen spellbook' spells always on-tap is helpful.

note that you can bypass ASF for armor via still spell or with the arcane armor feats.

if you're building this for PFS, you can easily reach the prereq by playing a drow magic half-elf, since tieflings and aasimar are being phased out.

Silver Crusade

Half-elf drows are prohibited in PFS...A wizard level one hasn't the prereq for EK the SLA says works as clarividence not is clarividence... i don't know if this is legal...where can i check?

What are the starting habilities @AndImustMask your build are nice with some changes if i take aasimar if i don't find the legality of Diviner for EK at level 3.

@Some Random Dood i don't understand your build at first level, why unarmed fighter? Why monkey style?

Thanks for your advices!!

The Scryer SLA works as Clairaudience-Clairvoyance. It is a 3rd level Wizard spell, therefore it qualifies you for Eldritch Knight.

Quote:

Send Senses (Sp): As a standard action, you place a scrying sensor at a point within medium range (100 feet + 10 feet/wizard level) that you can see and have line of effect to. You can see or hear (not both) through this sensor for number of rounds equal to 1/2 your wizard level (minimum 1). The sensor otherwise functions as a clairaudience/clairvoyance spell with a caster level equal to your wizard level.

You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Intelligence modifier.

Bolded for emphasis.

Unarmed fighter loses medium and heavy armor and trades their bonus feat for imp unarmed strike and 1 style feat of your choice. Now as an EK, you won't be using anything more than light armor due to spell failure. So losing armor doesn't bother me. Unarmed strike means you're always armed and can make a decent back up weapon. With monkey style, you won't take any penalties while prone. But, I'm open to suggestions if you know of a better style feat that works while wielding a weapon.

Like I said, it may not be the most optimized. But it should work pretty well.
