Please Review my Cleric character for new campaign

We just started the campaign and we are just leaving the underground and climbing out to Kenabres at level 3. This is the planned progression for the cleric of Asmodeus, human race.

I appreciate your feedback. The idea is to channel a lot of negative energy and be able to get into combat as needed. The main goal of the character is to start a new Hellknight Order.


Which Path do you intend on taking and what powers do you covet?

Will you be using the legendary item to gain access to wizard spells? Which ones?
Which item is getting the love?

Will channel cut the mustard once you reach the late game?


I'm not a fan of inverted channel, either way using a higher level slot to damage or heal doesn't look that good.

For spells from the wizard side, I was thinking beneficial spells that might help in combat like True Strike, Mirror Image, enlarge person, see invis, blur, false life, spectral hand, invisibility...maybe undead anatomy or fly.

Inverted sponatanous is just in case of emergency to help a teamate.

With channel the main thing I wanted to do was clear the chessboard of silly mobs to allow the tanks to focus on the big guys.

The party that we have is currently, ranger, paladin, bard, warrior.

Regarding the legendary item, was thinking of maybe the Hellknight armor, the weapon or shield. The armor might give some more flavor storywise.


Pick the weapon (it's more expensive) and take the upgradable power for cheap enhancement.

I picked my headband, I figured a 6/6/6 for 72k was too good not to take but I don't use a weapon so it was an easy choice in my case!

So at level 12 what do you think your channel will be doing damage wise?


Is it worth considering the alternate channels? I know it'll half the damage but with all the stat increases you could have an impressive save DC vs something like Daze?

I am deciding between this options for the legendary weapon. Which ones would you narrow down?

At level 12 hoping to do 7d6 with the phylactery item. Regarding the optional channel options, didnt see any helpful ones to go with the Domains of Asmodeus flavorwise.

If Im understanding correctly...you are asking for Divine Surge - Inspired Spell. Please let me know if that is what you are inquiring.

I have to say, that I don't really value channel energy all that highly. Mythic spellcasting can be very very good, and resource conservation is a different kind of beast once you add the mythic rules.
