Title pretty much some it up. Two of are PCs are getting married in a WoTR AP girl is paladin of iomedae the man is a bard of shelyn. What would be good wedding gifts? Apologize for punctuation using a phone.

I was thinking rings of friend shield but other thematically cool items would be cool didn't need to be crunchy but must have some good fluff.

An Iomedaen style longsword that has the sunburst replaced by Shelyn's bird's tail, or that keeps the bust, but has the bird perched on it, with the tail wrapped around. Masterwork, of course. :)

A war-ballad about The Power of Love Heh.

Beyond that, there are several options, based on your budget.

A unicorn :D

Jewelry is always a good wedding gift. Look first to the PCs and find something they share in common. Paladin of Iomedae and Bard of Shelyn; both I'm guessing have decent if not epic charismas? Perhaps jewelry that accentuates that beauty.

It doesn't have to be magic. Masterworks encrusted with gems or if they're a simpler couple perhaps elaborate belts. If you do want to go magical consider simpler effects for flavor:

- prestidigitations to keep them both ever-clean, groomed, and wafted by subtle breezes (like super models).

- a combination of dancing lights and ghost sound to capture and replay their wedding song forever, at will

- a combination of locate object and deathwatch so they always know where the other one is and how they're doing

- whispering wind, so they can always talk to one another

Another thought would be to consider their chosen vocations and have items crafted specifically for them, but somehow thematically tied together. For her, a unique sheath that keeps her sword ever sharp, clean and mended; for him a case for his instrument that does the same. Again, masterworks would work just as well.

Finally, think of real life. Modern couples create a theme for their wedding and some register for gifts at local boutiques. Look to these sources for inspiration. Their 2 faiths share no symbols in common, but perhaps a masterwork tapestry depicting a glaive and a longsword crossed over a silver field bordered by starbursts and rainbow-tailed birds. For an added effect perhaps have the device iluminate softly in their presence and again play their wedding song.

Whatever you give them should be tasteful, thoughtful, and encompass both their personalities. Hopefully these suggestions start to guide you in the right direction.

A matching Jailer's ring & Prisoner's ring.

Silver Crusade

Larry: Okay, well, uh... candlesticks always make a nice gift, and uh, maybe you could find out where she's registered and maybe a place-setting or maybe a silverware pattern. Okay, let's get two! Go get 'em.

Awesome ideas guys keep them coming and yes both Charimas are high twenties

How about lockets of each other's blood just like Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton did? GROSS! J/k.

Definitely a pre-nup agreement for both parties.

Failing those AWESOME ideas, I guess you mean something weighty and special that honors young love, huh.

- Matching tattoos from the local artist
- A pair of resurrection items with one use each (one for each partner to keep that ONLY works on the other person)
- New outfits from the local seamstress
- A new pair of mounts from the local breeder
- Lol, baby clothes

I think I'd just be surprised that a Paladin of Iomedae and a Bard of Shelyn would get along well enough to get married.

Just seems like they would be very different types of people that aren't compatible, but maybe that's my own bias.

In any event, they probably appreciate good deeds being performed and beuaty. So maybe a beautiful painting or sculpture donated in their name to the city they live in, or care about the most.

Clearly, none of you realize that I already made the best suggestion.

(Or, I suppose, should you lack the best of tastes, there are some alternatives.) ;D

Two, actually: one of each for each. :D

It's actually worth noting on this that, canonically, the Herald of Iomedae (Hand of the Inheritor) is noted as getting along well with two other people: the herald of Sarenrae (Sunlord Thalachos) and the Herald of Shelyn (Spirit of Adoration).

This is a good idea. Probably the sculpture or painting being something that inspires courage or honor - serving both patrons at once.

This combined with a (much less expensive variant of):

... could actually be exceptionally useful.

The whispering wind is nice, but I'd even more strongly recommend a permanent telepathic bond (or an item that grants constant telepathic bond between the two of them).

This is actually the basis of all of my suggestions to date: blending the concepts of honor and swordplay with beauty and love, or at least the symbolism of such. The sword I gave above, would be one example of blending the two different holy symbols into one.

Other than that, Mark's suggestions are pretty solid. The jewelry I'm a bet "meh" on, but that's just my taste (or lack thereof).

... this... wouldn't be... um... a suitable mount... for very long. Ahem.

(Also, there's the ethical/moral implications of getting a sentient creature as a present, but, you know, that's just a whole 'nother can of worms, and beyond the parameters of the spirit of the original suggestion besides. :D)

Liberty's Edge

Get them a Carpet of Flying:
"I can show you the WOORLLLDD!!!"

Tacticslion really like your first suggestion.

Mark like them suggestions maybe use a few of them!
