such as breathe weapons or others, can these be made at anyone with in the given distance.
like a 60ft line attack, does that mean you can attack anyone 60 ft from you and anyone in between or after? basically, cone attacks have preset cone patterns do line attacks also have that or does it basically act like a line and anyone that the line passes through is hit? can it basically be used like a ranged attack?
I've never thought about line attacks because i thought of them like AOE attacks, but I could possibly use it to attack far away targets with line breathe weapons.
I've been searching a bunch but I can't seem to find rules covering line attacks. does the line have to pass through the opposite side of the square it entered to effect that square? does it effect all squares the lien passes over? does it behave more like how you draw lines on a computer? like with a slope of 3 up then an over?
It starts from the caster's square and goes in a direction of the caster's choosing. Anyone in the path of that line gets hit.
It is not a ranged attack. It is an automatic hit. It is used to hit things/creatures that are far away.
The line only has to reach the square. Just count as if you were moving a character, and that is how far it goes.

Just take a length of twine and pull it taut. Now hold one end at the casters sqare and the other end in the direction the caster wishes. Count off the number of squares for the length.
