She had her dad, my brother, draw up the agreement in writing, with signatures by both parties and a witness (mom).
She tried to do this once before, but her parents said no. This time, they figured they let it go and see what happens.
That kid is going far.
~LAUGHTER~
Finally got around to patching the holes in the walls where the safety gate had been at the top of the stairs. Now to let that stuff dry.
Plus, I think the paint from when the house was built is still good!

That kid is going far. ~LAUGHTER~ You laugh now, but will any of us be in such good humor when we are living under the despotic reign of Empress Isabel?
It'll be interesting to see if he is late. Perhaps she can hire a Paperboy to collect the debt?
"Two dollars"
According to my brother, when the boy asked his sister if she would remind him, she said "yes", but only the day after he was late.
As to hiring someone - Naah, she'll take that job all on her own.
Better Off Dead - one of the greatest movies ever made!
A lovely morning!
Alas, my poor wife cannot enjoy it - she is in too much pain. She had a root canal yesterday.
There is painting planned for today!
Today was a not too bad day. Productive, yet relaxing and enjoyable.
I am seriously debating whether to go see Doctor Strange again tomorrow. I probably won't, since I've got other things to do. Plus, there is the potential for the wife and I to both see it next week, since we'll be in the New Orleans area and would have a babysitter in the form of my mother.
Otherwise, I'm almost of a mind to drink a bit of mead.

I may see the doctor this saturday.
Assuming I haveFriday afternoon off I might head to see the good doctor.
Patrick Curtin wrote: Assuming I haveFriday afternoon off I might head to see the good doctor. It was pretty damn good. Just watch it ALL THE WAY THROUGH THE CREDITS or you will miss the two end scenes.
Oh yeah. That's pretty standard for Marvel
Indeed. The two times I've seen it already, people were getting up and leaving, and I had to restrain myself from screaming "What the ever-loving f!~*? Do you people not understand Marvel's MO by now?"
Last night, I ended up drinking a few beers instead of mead. Had a Buried Hatchet Stout, and a Founder's Breakfast Stout. Good times.
Should be a nice, warm day today. Unfortunately, it's also supposed to be a rainy day.
Looks like the boy's coughing fits and stuffy nose have taken an ever so slight turn for the worse. I had to go pick him up at school because he was complaining of a headache and had a 101 degF fever.
So now I get to take him to the doctor in a little while. Hopefully it's nothing too serious. I'd hate to postpone or trip to New Orleans, even by a day or so.
On the plus side, it's family movie night. We'll be watching the newly acquired Finding Dory.
Took the boy to the doctor earlier this afternoon. No flu. No strep. They think it's just a virus.
For family movie night, we watched Finding Dory. A fun sequel.
How goes the job hunt, Aberzombie? I do wish you the best in that.
Kind of like molasses in winter.
It's amazing how quiet things can be when certain topics are "off limits". Almost as if some folks only come around these parts to participate in the aforementioned certain topic.

Baby girl said she wanted to watch a movie this morning. We asked her which movie, expecting either Tangled or Frozen. Instead, she pulls out Kung Fu Panda 2.
Apparently, the wife has a hair cut appointment later this morning. Meaning any hope I had of an effective and productive morning has just gone completely out the window.
He says as he posts on a message board.
Unfocuses OTD and reads the proclamation
Well holee crap! They actually went and did it!
Wow. I might actually be able to unfocus the message board
Pathfinder Adventure, Rulebook Subscriber
I doubt it will last. But maybe they will see this as an improvement.
Indeed. It will not last.
I disagree. I'm thinking the admins are tired of the extra work overseeing such things engender. And honestly this isn't a politics forum. It's a gaming forum. You don't go to Daily Kos to discuss CharOp. I really don't see the added value of having an always contentious discussion that contributes nothing to the hobby and actually loses them customers. I cannot say for sure this is the case, but I know before focusing got fixed I was verrrrry close to dropping my subscriptions and going elsewhere to get my gaming fix. I can't imagine I was the only one. My PbPs were the only thing that kept me here. I didn't want to 404 them.
You have way more faith in the Paizo folk than I.
On a happier note. We're in the New Orleans area now. Drove in earlier today. Had a nice drive, very traffic free. Most of the stops we had to make were so the boy could pee.
Now we're at my mom's house, until at least Friday.

My oldest brother arranged for a guy to come out and install a garage door opener at our mom's house. Couple that with he and #2 cleaning out the garage last week, and now mom can park her car out of the elements.
Also, mom cooked beef rounds and red gravy, one of my favorite meals growing up.
For some reason, I was up at 0430. It was more pleasing than I would have thought, as everyone else was still sleeping. Peaceful and quiet.
And then the children woke up.....

I hope you are correct, my friend. That'd be nice.
In other news, I think my current phone will be my last ever Apple product. If the way it's been handling ever since the most recent software upgrade becomes the norm, their shit is going to express elevator itself to the bottom of the barrel in no time.
Busy day. Spent a few hours cleaning mildew/mold/dirt off the siding at my mom's house. Then trimmed back an overgrown rose bush so I could transfer it out of the pot its roots busted through and into a new one. Then sprayed some weeds growing in and around the driveway and sidewalk.
I was rewarded with a delicious roast beef po-boy for lunch.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who hasn't hidden this thread!
So, it's not a complete "on hold". Sadly, I'm not surprised.
Going over to my eldest brother's house today.
Yesterday, the aforementioned eldest brother inquired via text message regarding the care and feeding of an old pot. What followed was a somewhat humorous exchange which included mention of the Sith and the Jedi.
And now......it is time to cook some bacon.
Yesterday was...rough. I'll leave it at that.
