At least I didn't forget my coffee.

Scarab Sages

Not that it would have been a problem. I keep a small Keurig in my office at work, along with a supply of k-cups.

The "Time for timer" shorts were old PSAs they showed during Saturday morning cartoons back in the day.

YAHOO!

*sigh*

Stuck in line at the RMV. Thank the Divine Architect for smartphones!

YAHOO!

Oh, holy crapcakes on fire! I remember that now! Probably hadn't seen it in over 30 years.

Memories! Light the corners of my mind!

My boy informed me that he thought his usual teacher at school (daycare) would be in space today. Then he rethought the idea, because, of course, she did not have a costume. I agreed that one could not go into outer space without a costume.

Scarab Sages

To continue the theme, over the weekend, as we were leaving Target, he looked up into the sky and started calling out to "Arc Vader".

Scarab Sages

Mayhaps he'll be an astronaut.

Scarab Sages

Who knows, Interstellar could end up being the precognitive story of his life.

Also:

R.I.P. Cletus. I never knew you, but I knew your brother. If you were anything like Kaiser, then you were awesome.

Scarab Sages

I find myself really not wanting to be at work today.

Scarab Sages

Oh well, best suck it up and get to it.

Scarab Sages

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.
A beautiful day in this neighborhood.
Would you be mine?
Could you be mine?
Won't you be my neighbor?

I had to fuss at the boy last night, after he said he didn't like his mommy or me. I told him that wasn't polite and that we both loved him.

On the bright side....Achievement Unlocked!

My child said he didn't like me! I must be doing something correct!

I'm guessing somebody got in trouble first.

That was weird.

The previous post somehow ended up in the poodle thread. I have corrected this error.

Well, the problem is that he doesn't take a nap during the day. So by dinner he's usually cranky as hell. Bath time afterwards is a challenge more often than not. I often have to raise my voice to him, or give him a firm pat on his butt.

We keep telling him that he doesn't know what he's missing with the no nap thing, but he doesn't want to listen.

Youngsters! Think they know everything!

One of my co-workers went through a procedure not too long ago. Last week, he ended up back in the hospital because of complications from said procedure. He was getting better until Monday night/Tuesday morning. So yesterday evening they were set to do a another procedure on him, to try and figure out what went wrong from the first procedure.

I haven't heard anything more since yesterday, so it's time to go find out.

Scarab Sages

Ouch. Today started off ok, but did not end very well.

Scarab Sages

Getting out the car at the dentist's office yesterday, I closed the car door on my finger. Much blood. Ended up in a nearby ER getting stiches. What a fun way to end a day.

Scarab Sages

Oh yeah. And then I check Facebook this morning to see someone I thought was an old friend insulting the intelligence of myself and some actual friends. Sad, but no longer surprising.

Scarab Sages

Stay classy, old "friend".

Scarab Sages

But, enough about crap stuff. Oh wait...

...Nope. More crap stuff. Looks like I'm serving as temporary project lead. That's not the crap part.

The crap part is that my supervisor had a family medical emergency. I hope everything turns out ok with his family. It is the kind of emergency I am, unfortunately, somewhat familiar with.

Scarab Sages

At least I have coffee. And an excuse to give people the finger.

"Look! I got stitches!"

Scarab Sages

And now, if you'll excuse me, I have a metric crapton of stuff to take care of.

As you can see, facebook is evil.

I'm sure it had nothing to do with Nov 4th either. >.<

... it just now clicked why traffic was so bad that night.

Very likely. More likely is that it's someone who only pops up to tell me how wrong/bad/stoopid I am.

But at least it lets me share pictures and other cool shit. The pictures are especially important where my mother is concerned. Facebook is about it for her interwebz skills (and that only barely).

Facebook enriches my life greatly. I am in greater contact with friends and family than I have ever managed. And these same people bring many interesting things to my attention I would have otherwise missed. Zuckerberg deserves praise for his transformational social media site. It is literally changing the global society.

Indeed! I feel much the same, my friend! Except for Zuckerberg - Dude's got creepy bug eyes.

Ouch! The boy woke up crying from a nightmare about 10 minutes ahead of his alarm clock. So I go up to calm him down, and as I'm sitting down on the edge of the bed placing my arm around him, he falls back right into my injured finger.

I say again.....OUCH!

Scarab Sages

And he woke baby girl up....

Scarab Sages

As an aside, however, his alarm clock is pretty cool. It's made to look like a traffic light. Setting the alarm turns on the red light - red light on, stay in bed. Alarm goes off, light turns green and he can get up. Although he usually just sits there in the bed and yells down to us that the light is green.

The yellow light is just an extra light. We use that on the weekends.

Scarab Sages

We also have night lights throughout the house - pretty much in a trail leading from our bedroom, up the stairs, and down the hall into the kids' rooms. It's as much for us as them. Makes it much easier to avoid stepping on something or stubbing a toe at 3 o'clock in the morning.

Scarab Sages

With my finger f#*&ed up, I find it difficult lift baby girl's car seat to put it in my truck without it hurting. So the wife has brought them to daycare the yesterday and today.

This morning that worked out extraordinarily well for me. There was hardly any traffic at all.

Scarab Sages

Also: The Force Awakens?!?

I don't know.....maybe it'll grow on me....

Scarab Sages

All right, maybe post in a couple other threads, then get some work done.

Scarab Sages

Took the wife and kids to the Houston Zoo today. We met my younger brother and his family there. Beautiful weather, not too crowded when we got there. All in all, an awesome day!

Pics on Facebook.

Scarab Sages

Hit the grocery store this afternoon and picked up some Mother-in-Lager by Karbach. Looking forward to tying it.

Scarab Sages

I've also got a six pack of Abita Christmas Ale I'm looking forward to partaking of.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmmm.....beer.

Scarab Sages

Tomorrow morning, I think I shall cook bacon.

Scarab Sages

It's tomorrow morning....and I did cook bacon!

Scarab Sages

Even better - we gave baby girl her first ever piece of bacon! Of course, she loved it!
