Gotta hit the grocery store. That’s been an “ouch” for some time now.
Walmart for kids clothes, new sunglasses, maybe one or two other things. It’s a good place in times like these.
Probably Lowes. But not if I can get what I need cheaper elsewhere.
Pet store to get food for the beast. That’s probably gone up in price by about 25% over the last few months.
Gotta get some gas in the car. That’s been another “ouch” for the last two years.
Home being in Texas, we have plenty of places to get a good steak. That said, whilst running some errands today, I was happy to see what will soon be an Outback going into one of our local shopping complexes.
Love me some Outback.
The boy came back inside to tell me his friend’s boomerang got stuck up on “the corner” of a neighbor’s roof. They wanted me to get a ladder out and help them get it.
So I go take a look, and the damn thing is midway up to the top. I told them to kiss it goodbye, and that under no circumstances were they to try and get on that roof. The last thing we need is trip to the ER.
I know my Trailblazer has at least one or two problems. Now I just need to do some research and see if the cost of repairs is (as I suspect) more than what the thing is worth.
On the other hand, all I need is enough to keep it running decently. Can’t afford a new vehicle these days.
And I’m considering cutting back on at least one streaming service. It’s between Disney+ and Netflix. I’m leaning more towards keeping Netflix, because they seem to actually have more things I’d want to watch.
Miserable weather - chilly and rainy.
Well, at least it’s not wet anymore.
I’m not sure I have a job anymore. My boss hasn’t sent me any work in almost a month.
Damn! I didn’t really like the job, but it was money.
Eight years today, and I still miss my father. He was a good man.
You know what I haven’t done in a long time?
This is normally where I’d say “Mmm….beer”, but the medication I’m currently taking discourages me from imbibing alcohol.
That’s just what they want us to think.
Goddamned whippersnappers. Bunch a slack-jawed pansies.
Help! I’m being oppressed! Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

passes along like an errant breeze
Where are the hookers and blow?
The melon! The melon! The melon!
The Power of Kord compels you!!!
That’s enough of that crap. I think I’ve got it out of my system for now.
Damn, though. Some of those aliases are sheer, f#%*ing works of art.
Of course, I prefer quality over quantity.
I don’t like being cold, but I try not to let it bother me.
I don’t like being wet, but there are times when I don’t let it bother me.
Cold and wet, though? F#%! that.
Stoopid cold and rain! Again!
I hate when I can’t get back to sleep.
Getting some heavy rain at the moment. We’ve had this off/on rain for the last few days now. It’s supposed to stop to tomorrow.
Mmmmm……smoked pork butt.
Well, there will be……
Along with some smoked maple bacon. Then, on Tuesday, some of that pork butt, along with the aforementioned bacon, will become part of the red beans.
That reminds me…..
The other day, the girl said she was half-carnivore. So I was at least half proud.
The day started off craptastic - rainy and cool like the last few days. Then, around mid-morning, the rain cleared out, the sun started shining, and the day became absolutely beautiful. I’m
Christmas decorations are up, except for a few items. There’s an inflatable teddy bear I didn’t feel like putting up today. And then there’s my “daddy” deer, which is not working properly anymore (thanks, Universe, but I didn’t need that not-so-subtle message).
After several days of crap weather, we’ve had beautiful sunshine and cool temps since Saturday morning.
