Not here in Texas, of course. At least, as far as I know. We'll leave it to other places to snitch on each other.

Scarab Sages

Then again, we do get transplants. Or invaders, as some folk call them.

Scarab Sages

Can you tell I really don't want to start homeschooling today?

Scarab Sages

At least I have gumbo to look forward to at lunch.

Scarab Sages

Gave the dog a bath yesterday. The last time she had one was about mid-March. Typically, I wouldn't give her one so soon. She's still a puppy, however, and has a tendency to occasionally sit or lay in her own pee.

So...more frequent baths.

Scarab Sages

Today, I'll have to clean up her poop from out front. Especially the piece laying on the sidewalk. It was one of those clingers, and when she freaked out running in circles, it flew up and landed on the concrete.

I told her that's what she gets for eating string.

Scarab Sages

It's a bright....bright...bright....bright sunshiny day.

Scarab Sages

Aaaannnddd...I just had to take away their kindles and send them to their rooms. I warned them to play nice together, but when they get into that damnable minecraft game, they always end up fighting.

Scarab Sages

I've been toying with and idea. It depends on if/when this current crisis will be allowed to end.

Once things start opening back up, I'm might try to start selling off a lot of my old gaming material. Especially all the Pathfinder Adventure Path books, and minis.

I sincerely doubt I'll ever use that stuff again, so all it's doing is taking up space. I don't ever see myself gaming again, and at this point in time, I sure as s!++ don't want my kids getting involved in it.

Scarab Sages

Not to mention, I could use the money.

Scarab Sages

First, however, I may take advantage of this enforced time at home to start going through my minis and and create a list of each mini and the quantity thereof.

Scarab Sages

I might even get my kids to help.

Scarab Sages

Everything was going pretty well this morning, until my wife got up. Then....pee...EVERYWHERE.

Scarab Sages

Again with the pee!!! Stupid dog.

Scarab Sages

On a more depressing note....

There appears to be a water leak somewhere between my house and the one next door. Even though it makes me sound like a dick, I sincerely hope it's more the neighbor's problem, and not mine.

I've got enough problems as is.

Scarab Sages

HOLY S$+$BALLS!!!

I'm sitting here at the computer, typing the previous post, when suddenly there's this big "thump", like something hitting the front window.

So I peak out the front door, just in time to see a hawk flying off with another bird clutched in its talons, and small feathers floating everywhere.

Scarab Sages

Second day in a row for strange bird visitations. This morning, there was a duck sitting on the back fence.

Scarab Sages

I have been awake for nearly 3 hours now. That's one of the sucktastic things about having a dog - I won't get to sleep in (even if I wanted to) for the next 10 years or so.

Scarab Sages

I watched Rambo: Last Blood on Amazon the other night. Great movie, even if a little sad. I had originally seen it in the theater.

Scarab Sages

Apparently, Disney now owns The Princess Bride. I guess maybe it came with the Fox purchase.

Soooo...Buttercup is now a Disney Princess.

Scarab Sages

Pretty day, weather-wise, so far. Wish I could enjoy it, but there's too much crap going on right now. Besides the whole Virus of Mysterious Origin thing.

Scarab Sages

Another year closer to death.

Scarab Sages

Stupid Murder Hornets.

I hear the dumbasses up in Washington State are particularly vulnerable because they've spent years encouraging people to build as many bee hives as possible. Because of that encouragement, people were building hives as close together as they could, which lead to hives that can survive, but aren't particularly strong.

Considering these so-called murder hornets can supposedly tear through a strong hive in a matter of hours, these weaker hives should take even less time to destroy. So, instead of "saving the honey bees", the dumbasses were essentially setting up a buffett.

Personally, I find it hilarious.

Scarab Sages

Disney sure as s$@~ is missing a prime opportunity here...

Between the Virus of Mysterious Origin and these Murder Hornets, now would be an awesome time to market some kind of A.I.M. bee-keeper looking outfits. I'd sure as s*&# want to buy one.

Scarab Sages

Thank the gods I've only got another 2-3 weeks or so of home-teaching the kids. It's a real pain in the ass. Not because it's difficult to teach my children, mind you. It's because the resources the school provides are...to put it mildly...half-assed.

Scarab Sages

After watching the finale of The CLone Wars TV series, I've got to say it was a great show. I'm kind of sorry to see it end.

Scarab Sages

I also watched the first episode of that behind-the-scenes show on The Mandolorian. Really cool. This one focused on the various episode directors. I hadn't realized that three of them did cameos as the X-Wing pilots in episode 6. Cool.

Scarab Sages

For some strange reason, I had this urge to listen to some R.E.M. this morning. So here I am, typing and jamming to Radio Free Europe. Before that it was The End of the World as We Know It and Orange Crush.

Scarab Sages

Now that I've got my R.E.M. fix, I'll just switch over to what the Youtube app on my phone has come to call my "play list". I guess I listen to these particular songs a lot.

I will freely admit, one group overwhelmingly represented in this "play list" is D'Capella. They're a Disney singing group. I was introduced to their music when searching for videos to show my daughter at bedtime. They are a very talented group of young singers.

Scarab Sages

One of the group members, Antonio somethingorother, does a lot of beatboxing in their songs. However, in one performance, he is lead vocalist for Everybody Wants to be a Cat (from The Aristocats). They should let him sing more often.

Scarab Sages

On the female side of things, the group had two chicks leave and be replaced. It's a shame, because I liked the first two. My favorite has stayed though.

Scarab Sages

There's also a lot of older country music in my "play list".

Scarab Sages

I have a deep and abiding appreciation for talented musicians, even if I think most of them are complete a#$%$+%s as people.

Scarab Sages

Then again, I think most people are a#+**@&s. Including myself.

Scarab Sages

I'm lovable though.

Scarab Sages

I suppose I should get the children started on their school work soon.

Scarab Sages

I read in the news last night that Roy, of Sigfried and Roy, passed away from The Rona. Very sad. From what I understand (I never saw them myself, but my parents did), he and his partner were damned great entertainers.

Scarab Sages

I have been married for 13 years. I'm still amazed she hasn't smothered me with a pillow yet.

Scarab Sages

And my younger brother (whom some Paizo frequenters were once familiar with) turns 45 today.

Scarab Sages

I'm typically not much of one for audio books (being not so lazy I can't read things for myself), but apparently something called Audible is putting out an audio book type thing of the Sandman comic from Neil Gaiman. It has an all-star cast as well, including:

James McAvoy as Morpheus
Michael Sheen as Lucifer
Taron Egerton as John Constantine
Riz Ahmed as The Corinthian
Andy Serkis as Matthew the Raven
Kat Dennings as Death
Miriam Margoyles as Despair
Neil Gaiman as The Narrator

and many, many more. It sounds like it would be pretty cool.

Scarab Sages

Last night, while looking through our bathroom closet for something, I came across a grocery bag containing three (YES, THREE!) things of liquid hand soap.

It was like hitting a f!@&ing lottery.

Scarab Sages

Watched The Woman in Black last night. The one with Radcliffe. It was a pretty decent flick, very worthy of the Hammer Horror monicker.

Scarab Sages

I found another hand soap thing yesterday. This one was under the kitchen sink. It had been knocked over and was lying behind some other stuff. SWEET!

Scarab Sages

Yet Clorox Wipes continue to elude me. I did get some Clorox spray at the store the other day, however. We've been spraying that onto paper towels to clean up after the canine.

Scarab Sages

Do de do. La la la. Time to work on my latest map.

Scarab Sages

I find myself increasingly not giving two s&*~s if the world burns down. Maybe the insects deserve their shot by now.

Scarab Sages

At least there's some bit of normalcy returning to life. I'm getting comics again. I'm no longer having to teach my kids everyday. And tonight my boy gets to resume his little league.

Scarab Sages

Is it weird that I had to double check what day of the week it was several times in recent days?

Scarab Sages

In other words.....it sucks sitting home most of the time with nothing meaningful to do.

Scarab Sages

Of course, my tooth waited until Saturday (when the dentist office is closed) to start bothering me. That's typical of my life these days.

Probably why I'm so damned grumpy all the time.
