Escalation Cycle Movement?

Can the mobs of an escalation cycle move up an elevation, or will they be funneled in the other directions instead?

For reference, the only escalation hex in question is the one that borders (T - W - X).

There's another relevant monster hex southeast of T7V, and one between P and N. Probably others too. I agree that the question of infections spreading up a cliff is interesting-I can see good arguments both for and against.

And what mechanics are in place for escalation cycles infecting each other?

Scarab Sages

Golbins went up from the deeps. No cliff could hold them! Thei have tunnels all around the terrain. But not in water hexes.

Escalations don't currently pay attention to elevation changes when deciding where to spread.

So they do not suffer the same limitation of not being able to go up an elevation change?

Neighboring hexes that are infected by different escalations will effectively "attack" each other every hour, reducing each other's infection strength by a percentage of the attacker's infection strength. If those attacks are strong enough to remove the defender's strength completely, then the hex will become uninfected (or may even be instantly infected by the attacking escalation if the attack was powerful enough).

Not at the moment. We hope to add that limitation in eventually, but it's probably a ways off.

that seems to make some of the cycles on the dividing lines a bit more of a threat, specially the ones next to towns where its a roundabout path to and from
