Greets,

I was always under the impression that there was a cleric spell for preserving the dead but cannot seem to find it. Am I missing something? Will a bag of holding do this? Is there another magic item that will?

Gentle Repose is what you're looking for. :)

Also, things still happen in a bag of holding if I'm not mistaken. It just holds it in a different dimension type, sadly time doesn't stop.
