Pathfinders:

I am putting out a call for GMs to run some Pathfinder Society Games at Scotty's Brewhouse on Wednesday, August 13! If you have played or run games at Scotty's before, you know what a great time it is! We are very fortunate that Scotty's has once again made space available for us.

Because of the timing requirements (we get some tables longer than others), and in an attempt to maximize the space we have, the three slots will be:

8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
12:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. (we lose most of our tables at 5 p.m.)
5 p.m. - 9 p.m.

If you are interested in running a scenario, please e-mail me the following information:

1. Your name
2. Your PFS number
3. A phone number (used in case I need to call or text you around event time)
4. What slots(s) you would like to run
5. What scenario(s) you would like to run
6. Whether or not you need the scenario(s) you want to run.
7. The email address you use for paizo.com

You can send the e-mail to me at mark.stratton@gmail.com.

If you choose to run in the last slot, please try to pick a scenario that can be completed within that time. There is no guarantee we will get extra time.

Once you do, I will provide you with the information to get to the Warhorn site. Once I get a few tables worth of GMs, I'll open the Warhorn up to players.

Thanks in advance for all of you volunteering to GM!

Mark

I'm up for running some Pathfinder. I emailed Dave to see if the back room is available for rent and if not, if I can make some sort of arrangement (financial or other) to sit outside this year. That was great a couple years ago when we could (of course it comes down to turning tables around every hour for $).

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

And if people reading this wang to play a given scenario, post it here and maybe some GM will run it.

What time is the volunteer meeting this year? I would like to run/play, but that meeting takes priority.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

All:

There is no volunteer/GM meeting. HQ will be open from 3 p.m - 5 p.m. on that day for people to pick up badges, shirts, etc.

So far, here's what GM's have offered to run:
5-18: The Stranger Within
Masks of the Living God (Module)

If there is something specific players want to play, they should let us all know here so a GM might agree to run it. :)

@Kyle:
I doubt the back room will be open. I believe Dave told me there is a group that already has it all day.

Liberty's Edge 4/5

*sigh* can't make it this year. You guys have fun! I'll miss Scottys

i would love to play a module! maybe.. fangwood keep??

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

I know we have one module on the schedule for now - I want to be mindful that we don't run too many modules and get some scenarios in, but we could probably do one more. Let me see if we can get a GM for Fangwood, Aaron!

5/5 5/55/5

What are the maximum amount of table's per time slot?

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Actually, I'm keeping that info pretty close - I want to get close to filling a few tables before we expand out. I don't want to take up any more than we need. As well the number of tables per slot varies - we have to give up some tables earlier than others.

5/5 5/55/5

I'd love to see the first 2 levels of Emerald Spire run.

I wish I could run, but with my flight getting in at 2, any delays will put me there after the 5:00 start time. Will there be seats available if I show up without reserving a spot?

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Unsure at this point. I only have 2 GMs signed up, but we are a little early. Usually, this event is pretty full. I couldn't tell you if there would be a seat or not really until. Much closer to game day.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Players: Are there any scenarios you are particularly interested in playing?

Normally, we allow GMs to decide what they will run for this event, and sometimes they will run something if it's requested. So, if there's a scenario you are burning to play, post way!

4/5 ****

I will only be there for the 5pm slot and am hoping to play.

Other than new stuff, the only scenario I haven't played is 2-20 Wrath of the Accursed (7-11)

Silver Crusade 2/5

I would not mind seeing Assault on the wound 5-24.

Grand Lodge 5/5 Regional Venture-Coordinator, Baltic

If I had known that games would start at 8:00am I'd booked an earlier flight!

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

It was that or 9 am, so I took 8 so we would have more time.

Shadow Lodge 4/5 *** Venture-Captain, Michigan—Mt. Pleasant

Yeah, last year they started at 10 I believe. I'm going to try to make the mid slot, but I'd like to play since I'm running so much the rest of the weekend.

Thanks for organizing this, Mark! :)

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Most of the tables we only have until 5 p.m. So, when we were able to take the earlier start time, I took it - and then shortened the slots a tad so I could get two games at each of those tables (and we have a few additional tables beyond those where we can play until 9) I was just trying ot maximize our opportunity to play :)

I reallly hope we can do well in filling that 8 a.m. slot.

Oh, I'm sure that "If you host it, they will come..." ;)

Silver Crusade 2/5

I plan to be there for the 8am slot and 12:30 slot. Do you know when the kitchen will start, just wanna know if I should eat before I come or if I can grab food there that early.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Great question! Food won't be available until at least 9 am.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Hey, Pirate Rob, I have added 2-20 to the schedule, so as long as we can find a GM for it, that scenario will be good to go.

As for the newer stuff that will be debuting at Paizo Con (like 5-24), I'll hold off on scheduling.

4/5 ****

Sweet, thanks!

I'm hoping to continue my tradition of running the Free RPG day mod at Scotty's. From the reviews so far, Risen from the Sands sounds like a bit of a meat grinder for the pregens. We managed to get everyone alive (or at least not permanently dead) through Dawn of the Scarlet Sun a couple years ago, so I'm hopeful that a good time will be had by all...

See you there!
Tom

Got you added, Sabre!

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Hey, Eldrad! I think I can schedule a session of 5-24 Assault on the Wound.

Now, to find a GM for it...

Silver Crusade 2/5

FYI: I'm now penciled in to GM 2-20 Wrath of the Accursed for Pirate Bob. Pirate Bob, your list of available games shall grow shorter....

edit and now 5-24 Assault on the Wound earlier as well.

That fills my GM-able time for the day; fun will be had!

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Thanks, Sabre!

Now, to find a few more GMs to offer to run and then I'll open up player registrations. And, as those tables get filled, I may be able to open up a few more.

Just confirmed with Mark:

I will be running Lost at Bitter End for the early slot. It is a season zero - but that should be good for the new people who might never have played much of the old stuff but have a (or several) high tier characters.

In addition my son will be GMing 'We Be Goblins'. Can't leave him on his own - but convinced him to GM. He has done this module 3 times before and I feel fine to let him lose on some stangers.
If you dislike to be GMed by a 13 year old - then stay away from We Be Goblins in the morning. But you will miss something - we old ones can't do goblins that well - at least I can't.

I hope that is a good mix for some who have done a lot of gaming and might miss one of the older ones and for some who just start and haven't done 'We be Goblins' yet.

And we shouldn't stress out the GMs who will be running lots of slots at GenCon proper.

4/5

I'm bouncing back and forth on the idea of GMing, still, as I am running 8 slots at GenCon, also, and probably running on our trip up, as well (yay for pit stops?)

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Hey, all!

I need a few more GMs to volunteer to run. If I can just get a couple of more, then I'll open it up to player registrations.

Any scenarios that GMs are really interested in running? I still have tables in all 3 slots left! First come, first served!

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Oh, someone did express interest in playing Fangwood Keep (which would be a double-slot module, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Anyone interested in running that one?

Liberty's Edge 4/5 5/5

I can run that scars of the third crusade in the evening, since I'm not going to gencon this year, thought I might run another game for those that are.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Hey, Richard, thanks! I have added you as the GM to that slot as well!

Mark

Silver Crusade 2/5

Really looking forward to another year, 3 slots seem like a great time. I was going to play in all 3 but friends just informed me that would give me no time to pick up ViG badge so sadly just morning and afternoon slot for me.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Still needing quite a few GMs. I have picked some scenarios since I didn't hear from anyone else.

So, if you can and want to run a slot (or 2 or 3!), hope on over to the warhorn site and volunteer to GM!

I'm hoping to get some con support from Paizo for this, but for that to happen, I need to have a certain number of tables go off, and I need to have the request form in to them within about 2 weeks from now.

Hope to see more GM sign ups!!!

Mark

Thanks!

Done, signed up for the full table in the morning slot. I hope I don't have to buy food for all three slots :)

5/5 5/55/5

Thanks for GMing the morning slot, I will buy your lunch.

I'm also on the wait list for your evening table, I'll drop off if I end up being the 7th. I don't have lots of things left to play so moving to the other tables in evening is not an option for me.

Still trying to determine my travel plans... so I don't know when I'll be getting in.

SIGH.

Well, hopefully, I'll figure this out soon.

No worries! Just get there safely - that's what matters!

I do want to add that we only have three tables available to us in the evening, and two of those are already full. I don't have any capacity to add more tables to the third slot.

I do have a couple of extra tables I can add earlier in the day, and I will end up doing that, but I'm waiting for some of these others to fill up before I do.

Horizon Hunters 4/5 5/5 *** Venture-Lieutenant, Indiana—Indianapolis

Pathfinders,

As of now, I am still in need of GMs for the following slots/times/scenarios:

8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: #3-16: The Midnight Mauler
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: #5-08: The Confirmation
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: #5-22: Scars of the Third Crusade

And, of course, many of the games still need players. I know there's still 4 weeks (from today!) to go, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable know I have GMs at every table.

:)

GMs:

Here is an update as to what I still need GMs for. If you can and want to, please pop on over the Warhorn site and sign up to GM:

8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: #3-16 The Midnight Mauler (4 players signed up)
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: #5-08: The Confirmation
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: #5-22: Scars of the Last Crusade

12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: 5-19: The Horn of Aroden (there are two tables, one of which has a GM. I need a GM for the second table.)

Thanks, everyone!

At some point, perhaps in the middle of next week or the week after, I am going to have to make a "Go/No-Call" on these tables, and the other tables which have no players signed up. I realize that's two weeks out from Gen Con, but I'd rather not wait until the last minute. Scotty's has been generous enough to give us these tables, and Paizo is providing some convention support for this event, which is great. That support requires at least 15 tables. If, by some chance, we were to fall below 15 tables, I wouldn't feel right using the convention support. So, help us out if you have the time and interest! :)

I hope we can find GMs for these three tables, plus players for the slots that still need them.

I will likely continue to post the update daily until all GM slots are filled. Then, I'll more actively promote the player spots.

Thanks!
